So I just purchased a electrical bike and after it suggested a bike lock to pair with the order. This is a coated cable with built in 4 digit changeable code lock. The outside of the lock is plastic but the lock inside is metal. Works well at bike stands or locking to a fence. Not long enough to lock to a tree but it works well for most applications!

I've bought a few economy bike locks prior and this one really is a situation of "you pay for what you get". It looks high quality from the pictures, but when you get it, the plastic barrel that composes the locking mechanism seems very flimsy. It almost felt like it was going to come apart when I unlocked it. There could be work done to make the product more durable. There were several times with the correct combination that it wouldn't quite unlock without slightly over rolling the combination past the correct value.
