  • I love big potato games

I had gotten the Disney color brain version for my kids to play along with me. I really had enjoyed that one we were big Disney fans. So I figured I would give this one a try. I actually really like the setup of this better because in Disney on one side is the question and it tells you what movie and then on the back side it shows a picture and the color of what you need which for the kids is great but with this version you actually get double the amount of questions per card. Because you get this little game box holder that has a window. And on there you can read the question and then the color is still hidden so when you pull it up that's when you see the color so then it's the same on the back side too so you get two questions per card. Some of the questions are very confusing because it goes off of like a name and sometimes what it's asking we have to question and be like wait do they mean this or do they mean that. So some of them are kind of tricky but for the most part it is a pretty good game. I've played with a couple of friends and I know they have even bought in the game because it is actually really fun and even when I think I know something I get something slightly off. Like it's yellow instead of orange or yellow instead of white type of deal so sometimes I'm off by just one. And the fact that points roll over like if everybody gets it right and nobody got it wrong those points add up and it can really make or break the game because I was behind nine to one and I was able to beat the other team because I had gotten all the stacked up points. So definitely some variables in the game. But I would definitely recommend that this is super fun ... show more

  • Fun in the classroom

We played teachers vs students and found the game challenging and fun for all. Questions like, “What colors are on a mounds bar package” provided laughs and teamwork. Can be done individually. Great icebreaker for my art class.

  • Super fun and surprisingly challenging.

So I heard about Color Brain because of their Disney edition, and ended up buying both. The Disney one is great, but not everyone in my friend group grew up with the classics, so the original Color Brain is more inclusive. It's SO much fun, and surprisingly challenging. You sit here thinking, oh, easy, I know the colors of the Olympic rings, or the last name of this famous book's author, but that is false. You will make mistakes and your friends WILL sabotage you when you're winning. It's a lot of fun without being too competitive, and when you win a round it's fun to realize you knew those things. Very simple trivia with a twist. Highly recommend it, and the Disney version if you have Disney nerds in your friends or family! ... show more

  • Incorrect Information is Disappointing
Style: 98498
So far, I have found two incorrect cards in Color Brain and I have only played it once. Brown chickens lay white or brown eggs. Egg color is not dependent on the feather of a chicken. That is an extremely easy fact to check online. The Brown Leghorn is a brown breed that lays white eggs. Second slightly false card is the first color a baby can see. Infant's first colors are black and white (any basic Developmental Psychology class teaches you that). Your game's answer is red. Since you include white and black cards, this answer makes no sense. Sure, perhaps the first prismatic color is red, but it does not specify that. I am a teacher and use this game in my art classroom. It is ridiculous that this game has not been edited or checked... and if it was, whoever did it, did a terrible job. I can only imagine how many more incorrect cards will come our way. Please do better. ... show more
