I've tried a number of products to make my hair more shiny and smoother with mixed results. I don't like a holding hair spray because it makes my hair sticky. I came across this product, and the description and reviews sounded promising so I purchased a small bottle to try. Fast forward. This product delivers great results that last! It is heat activated so when I use a blow dryer or flat iron, it intensifies the effect of this product. I supplement with a serum and spray from Garnier which are also great products I have been using for a while. I was missing something, however, and I found it with this product. I bought the mini bottle to give it a try. I heard it helps with frizzy hair. I live in Texas, where the weather is humid & moist, my semi wavy hair tends to frizz up bad after stepping outside with all types of styles i had my hair done. I’m a type of person that doesn’t have time to do my hair in the mornings before work bc i’m a busy married mother, I hate how my hair could not just stay un-frizz also straighten. I got one tik tok one day & i saw a video of this male influencer. How he has naturally curly hair and demonstrated how amazing this product is. He started with deep washed hair & towel dry it then proceed to apply the product in one side of his damped hair while the other said did not have any product. In order for the product to work your hair needs to be damped & how dry after applying the product because is heat activated formula. He then proceeds to blow dry his whole hair & afterwards straightens the hair. At the end to put the product to the test he uses a mini humidifier with water on both sides of his head. On the side without the product the hair immediately got curly & frizzy. The other side with the product his hair did not curled at all!!! That had me impressed! I also looked at the negative side: a-lot of other people were saying how it did work for them without showing the step by step on how they use the product. So I dig a little deeper… i came across another video of a lady explaining that the product should be soak sprayed on damped hair sprayed in every centimeter of your whole hair in order for you not to have patches of hair getting frizz or curly/wavy. She also stated that the product stays in your hair for 2-3 days even after daily hair washing. So you should not see any frizz until the product wears out. That you guys sold me! I went ahead & purchase it. Took me 1.5 weeks to get it but i tried it on today i followed all the steps & let me tell you my hair did not frizz or got wavy when i went outside today on this Texas weather. Thought it has a light weird smell but it goes away after blow dry. My hair does not feel weird at all. I never leave reviews, but this really works. I have naturally curly hair that I straighten. I live in the south where it’s extremely humid. I had been getting super frustrated because if I went outside or even got slightly hot/sweaty, my hair would just go haywire with frizz. I followed the instructions with sectioning your hair to apply. My hair is super thick, so I just did it in 3 layers. You can be pretty liberal without it making your hair greasy which was also important to me as I only wash once or twice a week. After that I blow dried with a round brush. It felt so much softer and looked much shinier, but I was really impressed I could tell a HUGE difference in how much the humidity affected it. Very little frizz in the heat and humidity after using this product. Doesn’t have a strong chemical smell at all. I will buy this again and again. ... show more

    • I really can't tell if this product makes a difference
Color Wow has so many products that it gets hard to tell what really works well for me. I am trying them all and actually can't say WoW about any of them so far except the shampoo and conditioner which I really like, and the mist spray for leave in after wash. To be fair this product is not really for drying power or volume control and has no scent, so the features Amazon listed are not relevant. ColorWoW has products for that but this is not it. This product is supposed to take away the frizz when you spray it on. Then the have another product gloss lock which does the same thing? idk their products work ok but another issue I have is you have to use heat with most of them to get them to work. My hair however is currently a dried out nightmare and their products turn it into a good dream. Also you would expect build up but even though my hair (very dry) will need a touch of something the next day there is no build up really which I find kind of amazing. Also I have a very itchy scalp, their products are helping with that, which was what drew me to these products in the first place. I have very long, thick and processed hair. I'd do anything to achieve healthy beautiful hair. Based on the hype I was expecting so much more from this product. The results weren't bad at all, it's just I had big expectations, they make it seem like your hair will look like glass. The smell it's nice. One small bottle can very well be used into two applications for someone with my hair descriptions. Which is kind of pricey. My hair did feel more manageable and soft after the treatment. It didn't feel heavy or with residue. I'd say a 7/10 ... show more
