  • No taste: good cleaning!
Size: 32 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
With so many choices, I focused on low price and efficiency. Used according to instructions on the bottle (NOT manufacturer's), the product is effective, tasteless, and WAY less expensive than better-known alternatives.

  • Does a decent job at cleaning, but can’t completely remove the buildup
Size: 32 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Our single serve drip coffee machine needed a cleaning, and so I thought I’d try this. I liked that it used citric acid to clean. It came in a large bottle which had instructions and markings to indicate the amount of ounces in the bottle. Unfortunately the sticker that the markings were on ended up being wrong because the sticker was off center. I recommend just using a measuring cup to pour the correct amount since you need something to catch the dirty water with anyway. Per the recommendation, I used 4oz of solution for my single serve brewer, and then filled the reservoir with water until it was at the largest serving. I removed my filter and then started a cycle. The first cycle comes out slightly yellow due to the solution. Now, it says to do another cycle after removing the dirty water and then after that cycle, to do 2 more cycles with just water, but it doesn’t say anything about adding in more solution for the second cycle. So I just ended up doing 3 cycles of water in the end. Each time I did a cycle there would always be grit and coffee grinds at the bottom, but was always clearer after each cycle. After the first cycle it was noticeably cleaner. I took picture of the before, immediately after the first cycle and then after all cycles when it was dry. I did also wipe clean the part that the cleaning didn’t seem to reach, and most of it came off easily. I probably could have wiped off all of it if I scrubbed a bit more, but I wanted to see how easy it would come off. After fully drying, there is still white build up that exists, but it is still much better than before. It recommends running the cycle again from the beginning for really stuck on build up, but I didn’t want to bother. I think that the coffee that I brewed in it tasted better. A bit “cleaner” or crisper? I could not taste any left over residue of the solution. This cleaner seems to work, and I am satisfied with the job it did! ... show more

  • Good packaging, works well
Size: 32 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I have a small expresso machine that I use daily. While our water isn't super hard, I do notice some build-up in the machine over time. My husband also has a tendency to leave brewed pods in the machine, so I'm always a bit worried about mold building up inside the machine. This product is super easy to use. The built in scale on the bottle helps to ensure that i use the right amount. I also like the fact that this bottle contains enough for eight uses so I don't have to re-buy as often. I followed the instructions for my machine. I didn't notice any residual flavor or soapiness and my coffee seemed to taste a little brighter after use. ... show more

  • Works as advertised I suppose...
Size: 32 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I have used a 12-cup drip coffee maker almost daily for over 10 years. The coffee maker has a separate hot water dispenser attached. I have never descaled either side because the "clean" light has never came on, the coffee tastes good to me, and the machine works well. Maybe the "clean" light doesn't work or maybe the filtered water I use has low mineral content. I really can't say. Put since I had this product, I decided to try it. The use directions are simple enough but suggest you follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions if provided. My coffee maker has a built-in cleaning function, so I used that with 4 ounces of Zeiff descaler in a full tank of water on each side of the coffee maker/hot water dispenser. While some small mineral granules were flushed out, I was surprised how little scale had accumulated. It may be my imagination, but the coffee does taste brighter after cleaning and no residual odor or bad taste is detectable. So the product works as advertised I suppose. According to the Zeiff label, the descaler solution contains water, citric acid and sulfamic acid. I like that there is a graduated scale with 4 ounce increments marked on bottle. Price is a factor to consider though. The manufacturer of my coffee maker recommends using 1/3 white vinegar mixed with 2/3 water to clean the coffee maker and straight white vinegar in the hot water dispenser. Although white vinegar has a stronger odor it is considerably less expensive. ... show more

  • Clean nooks. Clean crannies.
Size: 32 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I recently picked up "Coffee Machine Descaler - 32oz (8 Uses) - Compatible with Nespresso, Breville, Delonghi, Keurig Descaling Solution for Coffee Maker Cleaner and Descaler - Coffee and Espresso Machine Descaler" because I love my coffee machine and want it to outlive me. And also because I want the coffee I drink between now and then to keep on being delicious! If you've ever had to clean a coffee machine that hasn't been maintained, you know the reason behind regular cleaning and descaling! I've wanted to avoid that nightmare and have been fairly regimented in my monthly coffee machine cleanings. The cleaning and descaling solutions can get kind of expensive, and it just happened to be time to reorder when I stumbled across this product by Zeiff. Because of the configuration of my specific machine, I can't see directly into every nook and cranny, but what is visible is now completely spotless. Happy to have this on hand for the next 7 cleanings and happy to recommend it. ... show more

  • Great performance at a great price
Size: 32 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
We have very hard water, and I descale our coffee maker every two months. I am exceptionally impressed with ZEIFF's coffee machine descaler. I used it today, and it softened up the coffee-oil residue that has stubbornly clung to the underside of the lid above the brew basket. It also took care of some stubborn hard water deposits on the water tube inside the tank, and the thermal carafe now smells much fresher. I used the recommended 4 ounces of solution with a full tank of water, brewed that, and let it sit in the thermal carafe for about an hour and a half. Then I brewed two full cycles of fresh water, wiped down the exposed areas inside, and scrubbed the thermal carafe. This quart sized bottle will treat the coffee maker 8 times for about the same price as one treatment from another brand, and it is very effective. ... show more
