Our Keurig is 2 years old, it began not giving up whole Carafes of coffee and had a lot of water left in the reservoir. We ran water and vinegar water though it several times and it still wasn’t working properly. Purchased the descaler and it worked wonders! Our Keurig is now functioning like it was new!     • Descaling solution effective

The descaling solution works well and has clear instructions for how to use it. You let the solution sit for 30 minutes and then run empty water cycles 12 times to run the descaling solution out of the machine. It took about 15 minutes to do that. The water filters do not have sufficient instructions on where to put them in the water reservoir. I don’t know if I’m supposed to stick it on the bottom bolts or let it float. I think sufficient instructions on these should be provided. Also, the rinse pods are slightly confusing, with no instructions. I’m guessing you put it in like you would a coffee pod and just run one water cycle with it and then throw the rinse pod away. So basically, I used the descaling solution from this kit. The coffee tasted bad before the descaling and tasted very good after the descaling procedure. I will try to figure out how to use the water filter and rinse pods. Overall, I think this product is a good value for the money. If you can find the KEURIG descaling solution in the same size that is cheaper than this kit, then get it. This kit was the cheapest I could find and worked well. I will probably get another kit in 3 more months. ... show more

First let me say the descaling solution itself is fine. Maybe it’s my own fault since I hurried to order THREE of these kits right after buying our new Keurig, but I misunderstood and now find I didn’t need this kit. You really only need the solution. This kit comes with 2 new filters which you may or may not need and 4 of these “rinse cups” which you may or may not need. The rinse cups have NOTHING to do with the descaling process, which is what I didn’t understand, and are only really needed if you have a family using the brewer and lots of different flavor k-cups are being used. The rinse apparently helps you to freshen the machine in between. So now I’ve used the liquid descaler and find myself with 4 rinse pods and 2 new water filters left over. I’ll use the filters even though I only use already filtered water in the brewer, but doubtful I’ll ever use the rinse cups. Next time I’ll save money by buying just the descaling solution straight from Keurig. I think it’s about half the cost of this kit. ... show more
