However, it is not good practice to ask a review be deleted or the stars given to four strictly on a merit level that you offered to make it right. *** Tried viewing trail camera pictures on my S7 using this little gadget. Had 39 pictures when I took the card out of the camera, zero when inserted into the reader attached to my phone. Checked the card again when placed back into the camera... it was cleared. I have approximately 20,000 songs on my phone and computer that I wanted to copy to SD cards so I could download them onto my car's hard drive, or play directly from the SD cards. Strangely, my over-the-top technology laden car has 2 SD ports but no USB port. I came across this device and, admittedly, was more than a little skeptical that, at its price, it would be very effective. But, the reviews gave me hope. This thing performed almost flawlessly, whether plugged into my phone or my computer. While not exactly lightning fast, it wasn't unreasonably slow, either. As a guess (I wasn't actually timing it), I would say it filled a 32gb SD card with music files in about 40 minutes. No errors, no corrupted files. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the USB C connector is just a tad too short. As a result, in order to keep a secure connection to my Galaxy Note 8, I had to remove the silicone cover I have on it. No big deal. But, for the same reason, I felt it was better to leave the phone stationary while transferring. Anyway, any doubts about the device's abilities and quality have vanished. My daughter takes a whole lotta pictures on her phone. Then her phone memory card gets full and she wants the pictures moved to a computer or written to a disk etc. As a normal mom who doesn't do this type of thing a lot, I had to figure out a way to do it that I could understand! Are the other ways to do what she wants? Maybe, but this works for me and that is important. This little gadget makes that possible. I put the micro sd card into one of the slots and then I plug the memory stick like thing into my computer and I can manipulate the photos all I want. I even was able to help her move pictures from one micro sd card to one with bigger memory using this little device. I was a little bit worried that I'd lose the caps on either end of this stick. The caps stick on very well though and click when they are on tight so you know you have the little bits on both ends covered. The ONLY thing that would make this better for me is to have a way to carry it or attach to something bigger so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle. If this had a key chain ring attached to it, that would be swell. Overall, I'd buy this little gadget again if I thought I needed it. ... show more

Had my doubts about this working. However, I inserted a Kingston 8GB micro sd card into an SD adapter, copied an m4v movie from my PC USB slot, inserted into Galaxy S7 Edge and the movie played fine. I also tried it on an older Droid Mini running Android 4.4....also worked fine (VLC player). Main purpose here was getting pictures from phone onto a tablet I use as a travel computer. Also from a digital camera onto same. I prefer to use the micro sd inside an SD adapter in camera as then I can go either way (micro or normal) copying files over. I had no doubt this would work in a full sized USB 2 port, but the fact that it works on both Android N and Android Kit Kat was unexpected. No drivers required...plug in and was recognized in file manager (or "My Files" in newer Android). This thing will go into travel bag for sure. Watch movies on plane, copy and upload pictures from dedicated camera to cloud while on road. From experience, don't rely on your camera SD card to store a lot of pictures, video etc until you get home. It's usually fine, but if it corrupts, you lose at least some, maybe all. Copy them and even upload to cloud as you go. ... show more

I really like that it was so easy to use to transfer my photos and files using this. My husband has a trail camera that uses an SD card and I am able to put that SD card into this and read on my computer..it's great! It can also read my MicroSD cards on my computer and transfer whatever pictures I want. I will also use this with my camera. The MicroUSB folds down out of the USB, for older Android phones and the other end is USB-C, for newer Android phones, which you can use for OTG connection on Android phones. The only bad thing it doesn't work with my LG phone case on however I am very happy with this card reader. Will see how it holds up over time. ... show more

A great tool, but it won't work without taking off the case on most phones. Because the slot on most cases is only made for a cable, the wide body on the microUSB side won't fit without removing the case.
