This is a very nice case for the lightweight basic Kindle. I like that it includes the pull out stand, as I like to read if I'm in a restaurant by myself, and this makes it almost hands-free, aside from touching to turn the page. I like it very much. I was disappointed when I chose it that the pattern I liked didn't come in the size I needed. They bunch them all together on the site, and on the photo...then you choose a pattern you like, and I ordered it and it was one of the few that only came in a different size (didn't notice), so it arrived and didn't fit. I returned it and had to buy a different pattern...the first one was rather unique and I loved it. The one I ended up with is very nice, but the color dark blue is much darker than shown on photo...I would have chosen a brighter color had I known. But the quality is very nice and it works great with my wonderful BASIC Kindle...love the Basic Kindle...tiny and lightweight and so readable. ... show more

    • Really Good, Not Perfect
I've been obsessed with my Kindle for many, many years now. I've been through new cases with several different Paperwhite releases. This case looks good. The gray color is nice, and the owl is very cool but perfectly subtle. I forget to use the card/room key holder slot, but the kickstand and the hand strap come in handy every time I read. The material is very functional. I've never had issues with water stains on the inside or outside. I don't know why the branded Kindle covers come with that somewhat plush material on the inside. The outside could withstand a tidal wave, but the inside will stain and/or grow mold with just a little water. This CoBak case doesn't have that problem. My only complaint is that the Kindle sleeve makes my OCD flare up, because the Kindle doesn't stay perfectly even in the slot for long. I would much prefer a case that has the tray for the Kindle to snap into, but it's been impossible to find a case in a color I like with the kickstand, hand strap, tray, and waterproof on the inside. ... show more
