I've never been a fan of Gel so these polishes are a step above regular polish for those who like a good regular manicure. Every time I bring my polishes to the nail salon, they always ask where I get these, and how much! The salon knows this is good quality product, and does last much longer than other polishes. This is a great system. I have done it all: acrylics (in another life and century!), MK, and salon gels. This brand offers GREAT coverage and longevity. If you want a 2-week manicure, go to a solon and sit under the little light. If you want a less-expensive and MUCH more convenient option, try this. I purchased 3 colors and the top coat and have been happy with all. The flat brush makes SO much sense if you use it right (the streaks previously referred to result if you do not). I apply 2 or 3 coats plus the top coat and the result is a strong, consistent, shiny finish. I live 30 miles from the nearest salon, plus am tired of ragged, thin, weak nails. I can use this line at home, Sunday afternoon, and have a beautiful and thick manicure that looks great all week. If you have the time, give it a try. You will not be disappointed. ... show more

    • A Flat Mid Range Purple
So it was very hard to tell from the pictures on the ad if this was a dark or mid range purple or if it was flat or shimmery. It is definitely a flat mid-range purple. And it's not a bad color I just like my polishes shimmery or glittery. I have ways around this but it adds time and extra steps. And I don't find it drys any better, or wears any better than a normal polish would. Now that said I was using it without the Vinylux base or top coat. Which I think they suggest. ... show more
