I had my manicurist apply the vinylux tropix and weekly topcoat 5 days ago, and it is still on with barely noticeable chipping. The color is a very pretty bright pinkish coral-a great summer color. The polish goes on a little unevenly but it's not noticeable unless you're looking for it. Maybe the bottle needs to be shaken up better first. It dries quickly and completely in 6 or 7 minutes under the dryer. I was able to go about my normal business immediately after leaving the salon without worring about messing up my nails. After 5 days it still looks good. Regular polish would have been coming off my nails by now, and shellac would have started chipping (and pulling off part of my nail with it). However, it started to look dull after 2 days so I put a clear regular topcoat over it and it looks good as new. So far I'm very happy with it. It dries much faster and stays on longer than regular polish and can be removed easily and safely, unlike shellac. Also, unlike shellac, if necessary, it can be touched up at home. I would definitely recommend this product, and I have bought more colors which I am looking forward to using. ... show more

I have bitten my nails my whole life until 2010 (55 at the time). I was hospitalized and in a medically induced coma for a few weeks and when I woke up the first thing I noticed was that I had nails. I didn't want to bite them away so got acrylics and then decided to grow my own out instead. With acrylics I never had a problem with nail polish staying on. This past year, with my own nails, the polish never stayed on for longer than a couple days. It was frustrating. A month ago, my "nail person" tried the vinlyux and it looked good for the entire two weeks. There was some minimal chipping here and there but overall it was just great. And it does dry more quickly too. I wish there were more selection of the peachy and/or coral tones but maybe down the road there will be. If you are frustrated with how easily nail polish comes off your nails, give this a try. It might not be perfect but it is much much an improvement over anything else we have used. I'm one of those people on whom nail polish --- whether applied by a pro or myself --- only lasts a few days. This stuff --- when used with the special topcoat --- gives me 7 - 10 days; not the 2 weeks advertised but much longer than anything else I've tried. There is no 'light' or other treatment to dry the nails; they are quite dry to the touch in 5 minutes and really tough in maybe another few. I reapply the topcoat after 4 days. The whole effect is very glossy. I bought their nail polish remover (pure acetone, I believe) which works in a flash and seems to prep the dry nails for the new polish. No 'basecoat' needed. I have a few colors and bring them to the salon when I get a manicure or pedicure, just cause everything lasts longer. I recommend it for anyone who doesn't want the gel or shellac --- both of which I've tried but dislike because I can't get the stuff off. ... show more

The color shown in Amazon is darker than the actual color. I do not like it at all. It looked prettier online. But I swear by Vinylux products.

I can't speak to longevity, but I'm so impressed I had to write a review. I managed to get to 30 years old without ever learning to paint my nails without getting it all over my skin. I don't know why, but this was so much easier to use than anything I've tried before. The color is also very vibrant and the top coat gives an awesome shine.
