Description

This Clover 9584 6-in-1 Stick 'n Stich Guide is your go-to seam guide for perfect stitching. The guides stick to your sewing machine surface with a repositionable, reusable adhesive jell that is permanantly fixed to the guide surface. If the jell becomes dirty or full of lint, simply rinse off with tap water and you are good to go again and again. Set includes a clear plastic grid measure to assist in guide placement that also serves as a holder when the guides are not in use.

  • Really helps!
Size: #52
Keeps my seams uniform and I sew less slowly and more accurately.

  • Helpful gadget but very overpriced
Size: #52
This item could not have cost more than $1 to produce but sells at 500-1000% higher The guide sticks well to the sewing machine and uses a gel tape to stay in place. The advantage of tape is you don’t need a metal plate to use magnetic style guides The sewing guide with markings is not sticky at all. It should be sticky or tacky to add usefulness to the guide and it should have markings for angled seams, but doesn’t Overall a good gadget to have but way overpriced for what you get Women and quilters are price gouged for nifty gadgets ... show more

  • Must have for a newbie or occasional sewer who wants straighter stitches!
Size: #52
Wow are these a game changer! Im a very unseasoned sewer and often have long periods between projects and ive really dreaded hauling out my machine. So I invested in a few items to hopefully make sewing a little easier and more enjoyable. This is one of those things. These little babies have definitely improved the straightness of my sewing stitches, keeping my projects looking neater than before. They stick pretty good and do not leave any residue when removed. I like that they lock into each other if you’d like a longer guide. Ive only placed and removed them a few times, and they’ve held strong. Since they are repositionable, they have just a teeny bit of give if you are really pressing against them, so be mindful of this, as i did find that after a project they wouldn’t be line up fully straight anymore. But in my case it wasn’t enough to make a difference, and my stitches still came out much straighter than without. Idk about hand placement, but im a lefty and I often do things weird compared to others. So i tend to guide the fabric with my left hand around the far side of the machine while my right hand is guiding it on the side closest to my body. This is where my hand has slightly pressed against the stickies and slowly unaligned them. ... show more

  • For all those who need a seam guard, this Clover seam is the best as Clover sewing notions are top notch.
Size: #52
UPDATE as of 9/2017 ******* I have switched to a Bernina 740 and no longer need this seam guard as my machine has a dual feed presser foot that comes with its own seam guard that screws into the machine and also requires the use of the single hole centered stitch plate which assures me that all my 1/4 seams come out consistent and perfect as the needle is always in the centered position. I did want to mention that the plastic sheet that comes with this notion that has various measurements including a 1/4", is something I still use today to check my 1/4 seam when using my walking foot and/or using a regular presser foot when I have to move the needle over. Its funny after all these years, I am still using this Clover notion for its plastic measurement sheet that is included in this package. As far as the "scant" quarter inch, I was very new at quilting when I wrote my original comment. Its very fussy and obsessive and not as critical as you might thing. I get perfect 1/4 seams consistently on my machine and when I do the test for a 1/4" that requires sewing three strips together, they all come out perfect in width. I feel all this obsession over a scant 1/4 just causes unnecessary anxiety for new quilters (but that's my opinion). BTW, if you use Accuquilt die cutter, it requires a GENEROUS 1/4 seam to get the units to come out Accuquilt perfect. ... show more

  • Versatile, easy to use
Size: #52
These are helpful when sewing binding, and also have been using them to sew a 1/4” seam

  • Useful Tool
Size: #52
Great guides that are convenient and versatile. It adjusts to whatever measurement you may need for 6 different guides. It is very tacky, but there is no residue left on the machine surface. It takes a bit of pull to get off, but is manageable. It is fair size so it is easily handled for applying and removing from the machine and is long enough in length to accurately guide the fabric to avoid any distortion feeding the fabric through to the needle. I have not had it long enough to be able to evaluate how long it remains tacky. However, instructions state that when it needs refreshing, soaking in water and dishwashing liquid will restore it to its tackiness. Don't know if it is feasible, but an upright tab for applying and/or pulling if off the machine might make it easier to handle. ... show more

This product was something that a dear friend, and an excellent at sewing, recommended this item and I am obsessed. If you have a hard time keeping an even hem or topstich, this makes it so easy!
