I needed a lightweight, sturdy tent footprint for my Coleman 6-Person Sundome tent, and this is perfect! Cleans up and dries off easily. I have used it on three camping trips, with rain every time, and this held up beautifully. Tent footprints should be just a bit smaller than the base of the tent, so none of the footprint sticks out. This keeps water from getting funneled between the footprint and the tent. I bought one of these for my tent to help protect the floor. It was a good investment. During my canoeing/camping trip it it protected the bottom of the tent from sticks, rocks, and other issues. It stopped moisture from seeping up through the ground. It fit perfectly with my tent, there were no issues. The only time it was slightly problematic was during a big storm. I've used this on two backpacking trips now and its definitely a great piece of gear for a great price. This ground sheet has both grommets and loops at the corners, which really extends the number of uses it has. The material is nearly opaque, so it makes a great sunshade or canopy. If you buy the ClostNature tent, then get the footprint - or buy the packaged deal. The footprint fits well and the corner grommets fit on the poles nicely. Does its job and keeps the tent bottom from wicking water and/or getting pierced by rocks/sticks if you didn't clear them all. I typically make my own "Tyvek-style" footprint, but this is inexpensive enough and light enough, it is worth it. ... show more

    • Makes a great window blind, too!

I got this the other day and was a bit taken aback by it being so thin. Well, it so happens that for a while now, I'd been looking for something to block-out the bright sunlight that floods my bedroom, even though I do have long, plastic strips constituting a blind (but doesn't come close to doing the job even when closed all the way). In my search to find something on Amazon to fix the problem, I looked at sheets of cardboard (that weren't big enough and cost a lot), I looked at room dividers (which didn't look like they'd be adequate and would be cumbersome). And so after a while, I just gave my search a rest and continued with the less than ideal sleep mask. But then last night a light went off in my head and I thought, "What about that tent footprint mat, would it work?!" Well, I placed the mat up over the window and discover that it's PERFECT! Right now the mat is soaking in a sink so as to rid it of the little off-gassing it had. And when that 100-degree sun is up in a few hours I will dry it out and have a wonderful window blind that I can easily take down and put back up as I please! So there you have it; go ahead and buy it for its original purpose and, if it doesn't work as well as you'd like it to, then use it the way I'll be using mine ... and get the great sleep you've been longing for! ... show more

Bought 2 of these tarps for a two week camping trip going thru NY, Vermont, New Hampshire during the fall. Rained 7 of the days we were camping, it rained for 4 days straight in the middle of our trip and these two tarps held up very well. Solid tarp.
