  • What you need in a pinch!
The Clore Automotive Jump-N-Carry JNC770R 1700 Peak Amp Premium 12 Volt Jump Starter is an excellent, reliable tool for anyone who wants a powerful and durable jump starter. It has consistently impressed me with its ability to jump-start a variety of vehicles, from small cars to larger trucks, thanks to the 1700 peak amps and 12V capacity. I appreciate its heavy-duty clamps and long cables, which make it easy to connect to hard-to-reach batteries. The built-in digital display is a great feature, providing helpful information about the battery’s status, and the overall design is robust and solidly built. The additional features like a USB port and a 12V power output come in handy for charging devices on the go, making this more versatile than a standard jump starter. However, it is on the heavier side, which can make it a bit cumbersome to carry, and it requires proper storage and charging to ensure it's always ready to go. Overall, it has become a valuable tool in my car emergency kit, providing peace of mind with its reliable performance and quality. ... show more

  • Had to use it twice since I just received it.
Worked great both times. The real selling points on this item were, the quality, rugged design and most importantly the 12 volt charging. Others require you to either have an inverter in the vehicle or take it into the house to charge where it's all to easy to forget to put it back in the vehicle. With the 12 volt, we can charge it and leave it in the truck, ready for any emergency or to help others. ... show more

  • This product arrived exactly as Amazon had described it online. Great product, fair price.
There was nothing about this product that I disliked. It does exactly what it says it will do. By that I mean it will jump start a car with a dead battery, charge things with its two USB ports, be recharged at home or in the car. A great product at a fair price.

  • Great, easy to use
It’s great for any vehicle, easy to use, the only bad thing that it’s heavy, other than that i absolutely recommend it.

  • Don't buy the cheaper jump box this one is worth the money. You won't be disappointed.
I've had two cheaper Stanley brand jump boxes that eventually got to the point where they just wouldn't charge enough to jump my gasoline powered V8 Chevy Suburban. I'm semi retired now and don't drive it near as much as I did when working full time. If I don't drive it at least once every 5 days or so the battery drains to the point to where it won't even let me unlock the doors with the remote. This is apparently due to drain on the system from the after market security system by Cobra. I have too much valuable equipment and appliance parts on board in order to not use the burglar alarm. So damned if I do and damned if I don't. I tried a small solar cell device to maintain a charge but it was insufficient to the job. I like that this jump box displays the current voltage of the battery once you connect the cables to the battery. The last time I jumped it the battery was at 2VDC. I have jumped my truck a half dozen times without having to charge the jump box and it never hesitates to spin the motor over on the first turn of the ignition key. I've plugged the jump box in a couple of times as I figured by then it must need recharging but each time it has displayed the FUL indication on the digital read out. This unit is about half again heavier than the Stanley models I've had in the past so the battery must have a larger physical capacity. The Stanleys were 1000amp units where this one is rated as 1700. I've had this unit for almost 2 months now and used it 6 to 8 times and it gets the job done every time even if the truck won't stay running because the idle is too low because the battery is too low. Jump it again repeatedly until it stays running and the jump box never failed to have enough power. Granted the Stanleys were about half the price of this unit but this one seems to be built for the long haul and multiple times a day if needed. Would even work good for the guy with a wrecker service making those dead battery emergency calls several time a day. ... show more

  • Long enough cables
I own four antique cars and several other modern cars- I need to jumpstart several times a year. I bought this one because it had long cables. It arrived with enough power to jump a 1992 911 with ease. Didn’t struggle and the cables were not warm. Because it came with the cord you need to charge it, I plugged it in to fully charge it. It’s not too heavy or big, the battery clamps are sturdy and well designed, the carry handle is well thought out and comfortable to hold. ... show more

  • Open The Box as Soon as ti Arrrives !!!
First, one thing I have learned is when you get something from Amazon, open it and check it promptly regardless of when you will actually need to use it or gift it. I opened the box for my new battery charger and as soon as the top was open, I saw the light! The light on the top / front of the charger was on with the plastic bag still around the entire unit. The light switch is recessed and has to be held in to turn the light on so, it did not get turned on in shipping. That being said I don't know if this was a New unit or one someone returned with the light on and it was never checked. The manual says it comes fully charged in one place and in another says to charge it for 24 hours before the first use. I plugged it in, and the "charging" notice showed up on the panel and the voltage was just over 11 volts. So, it is charging for the 24 hours and hopefully when I need it to work, it will. The good news is it is a really bright light and it didn't get hot enough, before I opened it, to set the plastic and box on fire. I had previously owned the JNC 660, which I bought in 2011 and it worked great until last Thursday when I went to turn on my car to meet some friends for golf and it was dead and could not be returned to life. So, really can't complain but make sure you chasrge it on a regular basis. You can sign up wiht the manufacturer and they will send you reminders to do a recharge on a regular basis. Nice touch since you really dont't think much about it until you need it to save your batt. ... show more
