You get what you expect for the price. This small little steam cleaner is surprisingly effective. It's been working great especially on my curtains, giving them their shine and smoothing out the wrinkles. It also works great on my dogs teddy bears, making them look, feel, and smell a little cleaner than before. I think it's definitely better for smaller items like I mentioned, or for when you need something when you travel. I've also used this on my couches, but it does take a lot longer compared to my old larger steam cleaner. The difference there is that the other one was a giant machine. It was a hassle to move around and having to constantly unplug. I don't have this problem with this steam cleaner and it's one of the reasons why I bought it in the first place as it has a good long cord and is lightweight. My only concern is that I've noticed it spark when I plug it in on occasion. Much more than any of my other devices. Just something to be cautious about if you have a plug near curtains or flammable objects. The other thing I don't like about it is the steam smell. It has a burning hair straightener smell to it, which is fine.. but I feel like it lingers on whatever you steam clean for about 5 to 10 minutes. My old steam cleaner had no smell at all, so it took some getting used to. ... show more

I bought this steamer because I was leaving the country for a wedding and had several dresses that were going to need to be steamed. As soon as I plugged it in it started smelling like something was burning. Then it started leaking everywhere. The manual said to wait for the light to stop flashing and use when the light stayed lit up… as soon as I tried it, it burned my hands and then no steam came out. And to top it all off the button that you press to start the steaming melted and caved in. I don’t know what happened, as I followed the instruction manual verbatim but will never be purchasing this again. We had nothing to steam our clothes for the wedding which was a huge inconvenience for us as we were in a completely different country. It honestly is a liability issue at this point. ... show more
