This is a super cute little toy and I can see it being fun for 4-6 year olds or as a classroom prize bin. Like others have said, the small is very small but still works well. There is one motor that lifts and drops the claw HOWEVER it doesn not have a stopping mechanism so if you keep pushing 'up' after the claw is up you'll grind the gears and can break the machine. There is no stopper to keep the machine from trying to turn the crank past its ability to lift the claw. The rotational motion is controled by a hand wheel and just manually rotates the entire crane arm. The toys are very small but not as cheap and poorly made as some reviews have said, the plush I received were stitched and not glued and the little plastic toys are like the puzzle erasers of the early 2000s. Pretty good overall for the price, not a bad toy. Might get boring after a while, but could be a very fun party activity. I had no problem turning off the sounds, just press the music and audio buttons until it stops. ... show more

I've had several mini crane machines. This one is the smallest of the bunch and surprisingly functional despite that. PROS: - Cute design all around - Fun to play for both big and little kids alike - Comes with a whole variety of cute things to grab - Has both battery or USB option for power which is really nice. - Music has easy volume control - Small footprint CONS: - The controls are a little unconventional and sometimes confusing. The crane swivels around a joint with a little wheel you turn so it's not easy to grab items off its limited path - The claw and chain. It's never good in these little machines, but that's just how they all are it seems - The play timer really makes no sense. It's just annoying. The clear window in the front makes all the toys that you can grab visible. The claw and the controls are very smooth which helps you make all the adjustments needed in the attempt to grab your prize. It takes a bit of time to take in the fact that the entire machine has nice fonts and vibrant colors. The electronic controls have multiple adjustments. One of the neat things is that there's a 60 second timer for using the claw and trying to collect your toy. I like the fact that you can turn the music down with one of the buttons that's available on the control panel. If you open the top machine there is a four square inch hole where we can load in more toys. The exit hole for the prizes is about two inches by two inches square. I presume the machine can be loaded with toys that are lightweight and fairly easy for the claw to pick up. Keep in mind that the machine does come with quite a few toys to get started with and then possibly reload. This has been a fun and exciting toy that the whole crew enjoyed! ... show more

This is a fun claw machine for kids who wish they were good at arcade claw machines. The toy is very cute and my daughter loves the toys it comes with. It's very easy for your child to operate the claw to pick up prizes unlike claw machines at arcades. Expect your child to have around an 80-90% success rate. Unfortunately, the claw travels a certain path so you can't pick up any toy you want since some toys will be out of reach of the path.
