Not a huge review guy but when a product blows me away I try and make it a point to let people know. I’m a watch guy. (If I had more money I’d have even more than I do) this is far from my most expensive watch but oh man. I was excited to receive it but when it got here it really blew me away. It it GORGEOUS for a smart watch. I’m more of a traditionalist with watches so I don’t own smart watches for the most part but this one is different. Even my wife said she likes this watch more than any other watch I have and I own one very sentimental watch from our honeymoon lol. Needless to say this is worth every penny and frankly paying full price to me feels like a discount. Most hybrid smart watches that I’ve seen their functions are minimal and you don’t really use them too much. Update: I'll give this an extra star for the customer service that I received from Citizen USA. I really wanted the silicone band because I've been wearing the watch in more active situations so I contacted Citizen USA through their website and the response was very quick. The price for the silicone band by itself is pretty steep, but shipping was quick because I'm local and the customer service response was on point. I bought this watch because I was looking for a good watch with minimal smart features from a reputable watch brand. I don't use any other features like step counting or health features. I was literally just looking for a handful of notifications without breaking the bank and this watch fits the bill nicely. I gave up on smartwatches a few years ago, but I still wanted the ability to receive notifications on my wrist without pulling out my phone every 5 seconds and this works pretty well. I have this paired up with my Samsung Z Fold 3 and the app works fine, notifications work fine, disconnects when I move out of Bluetooth range and reconnects when I come back. The battery life is awesome. I can go more than two weeks without plugging this into the charger. Which is one less thing that I have to worry about keeping charged up at the end of the day. The screen is basically an E-Ink display, so it flashes to refresh whenever you scroll through the menus but it's responsive and not that bad once you get used to it. If you use e-readers like the Kindle or Nook then you're already used to it. It's a pretty big watch, which isn't a big deal for me. I like slightly larger watches. The photo I took compares this to my G-Shock Rangemaster and the two watches actually wear pretty similarly. Overall, this is a great watch if you're looking for an older model that you can pickup at a lower price and are only looking for the most basic smart features from a well known watch brand. ... show more

(IMPORTANT UPDATE) My previous review stands because I do believe that this watch can be improved a lot more than what it is right now, and I personally look forward to an improved version. I returned the previous one and got a couple of other brands to try them, honestly, quality wise, the CZ WINES. So I decided to get another silver one and I’m keeping it… looks great and it will do what I need it to do for the time being. I honestly expected better just because it’s a citizen and I LOVE everything citizen, but here’s my honest opinion. Pros: It does look nice and the large face makes it easy and clear to read. For the most part it’s accurate in tracking heart rate and sleep. The smart part is subtle and most people won’t notice that it’s anything but a regular watch until they take a very close look at it, which for me personally is a plus. Battery life is pretty good, 10 to 14 days depending on usage, but again, for me that’s perfect. Cons: It is TOO bulky and heavy for a smart watch I feel the band can be better, it’s nice thick silicone, but I don’t like that it starts wide and it narrows drastically as you get closer to the buckle, in my opinion this is a very bulky watch and the band needs more guts to complete the look. Sometimes it’s not quick enough to execute a command when toggling between functions, for example, after reading a notification I would press the home button and it won’t budge from the first time, it takes it a minute to actually go back home and so on. The worst part for ME is the fact that it’s only 3ATM water resistant rating with recommendation for splash only so you can’t even soak it under water…. Any smart watch needs to be able to handle at least swimming pool water in my opinion, that’s what they need to do to track swimming as part of the exercise functions!! Plus, I expect citizen to be a lead in this matter, most of their watches are 10 ATM and are made for swimming and/ or diving…. So that is a HUGE disappointment for ME. I own 4 citizen watches because I just love them and love their quality, but as to this one, I’m not so sure if I want to keep it!! 😏 ... show more
