I was unsure how many pieces I’d get in 2 lbs, but in looking at the reviews I took a chance. I’m very happy with these. Gross weight was 2 lbs 2.1 oz. The pic of the rocks in the strainer are when they were right out of the bag. The other pic is after they were rinsed. Great colors and sizes.

So I ordered the same Rainbow Fluorite stones from 3 different companies, Laidanla, Simurg, and this one, Fireboomoon. I wanted some really nice Rainbow Fluorite and couldn't decide between these 3 companies, so I decided to just order from all 3 and compare. Simurg, and this company, Fireboomoon, were the same price, but Fireboomoon provided 17 nice size, nice variety on coloring, stones, whereas Simurg provided 10 stones. Laidanla was 1/3 the price of Simurg and Fireboomoon, but provided 4 very nice stones. I think when it comes down to it, it's really just luck of the draw with any of these companies if you do or don't get nicely colored stones. Also really just depends on personal preference. But the bottom line was that I am very pleased with the stones I received from Fireboomoon and with 17 stones in total, I consider it a good value for the money. Based on several other reviews I didn’t have high expectations for the lot of fluorite. However, I am SO happy with what I received! I got two very large chunks - one a beautiful green, and one a gorgeous, highly pigmented rainbow. The remaining 10 smaller chunks were not all vibrant - some were very light, mostly white or muddy. One has white bands, and two have black banding. I agree with what some other people were saying about the stock photos being slightly misleading… especially because five out of ten smaller chunks had very little or no colors. My only other frustration is that most of the rocks were not actually rough/raw. Most had at least one edge which was cut, which was a bummer. Overall, compared to the usual price of fluorite I still think this is a great deal for a large amount of rocks. ... show more

For this price, I am very happy with my stones. It’s 1/3 boring stones, 1/3 pretty stones and 1/3 gorgeous stones. I love blue fluorite and the pictured stone has a lot of blue and teal. It’s the prettiest stone of the batch. (Sorry the picture is so close up but I had to crop my fingernails. Handling rocks quickly ruins a manicure.) I have a 3 pound tumbler and purchased a pound of more expensive fluorite. This purchase was just to fill the tumbler because mixing other stones with fluorite doesn’t work well. I am pleasantly surprised. 5 stars is not because this is the best batch of fluorite I ever saw, but it is the best for the price. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Just received this 2lbs of Rainbow Fluorite. I always weigh my product received, because I've received shortages on stated weight before. (Not from this company) Video shows the weight is correct. Most are nice big pieces with good coloring. A few appear to be very fractured or crumbly. My plan is to cut this, polish it & make some pendants. Those fractured crumbly pieces won't cut without disintegrating to nothing, so those are out for slicing or cabbing. The majority of the pieces appear to be good solid stones & will cut nicely. I've added a few pics besides the video to show the colors of the stones when wet. Some have some nice banding & will make some beautiful pendants. The pic with the larger white colored stone you'll notice it's crumbly looking & the formation is more like a druzy crystal looks. Unfortunately, this piece will disintegrate if slicing is attempted. ... show more

    • The risk you run, when buying weighted lots
Fluorite is one of my favorite stones , I like it in almost all of its forms and have many in my collection, but this 2 lb random rough Fluorite stones is BY FAR THE WORST quality of ANY I have purchased online, I'm sure by random chance some people receive decent allotments but mine was basically a "dumpster fire" filled with tons of impurities ,ground rock powder caked on all of them from very rough handling of them before they were shipped, even after being washed and cleaned then applying some mineral oil you can only even tell about half of the two pounds is even discernable as Fluorite. Do yourself a big favor and if the price seems good for 2 lbs of (your favorite) rough stone pass it up for a more expensive option that actually claims they will be sending quality because maybe even "Dumpster fire" was being nice to describe the quality I received. ... show more
