Couldn't be more of a noob if I were a newborn babe. I stink at decorating but so far these tools have helped. The tweezers are a little clumsy to use, but that could just be me. I haven't used these specific brushes yet, but they seem sturdy.

The media could not be loaded. Let's start with the brushes... Soft and delicate bristles and durable handles. Poky things lol Handle seems to be durable and the ends seem sharpe. Lol Tweezers Curved: seem a bit flimsy ( we will see how these work when I bake my daughter's cake. Straight: seem durable. Definitely good for the price for all these things. ... show more

I bought these brushes for nail art rather than cake decorating, because they include similar tools but are less expensive. I have used the big brush for cleaning up powders, the awls for small dotting and the tweezers for transfers and rhinestones. I also use the big brush for smudge free sketching and coloring and one of the flat brushes for pencil blending medium, and have used the tweezers for sewing. The rest of the brushes are backup makeup brushes and they are a decent low budget alternative (but I wouldn’t say they are equivalent to my good brushes). They are easy to clean and I have not seen any shedding from the brushes after a couple of months of use and soap and water cleaning. Overall I think these were a really good purchase, and I would recommend them. ... show more

Nice, soft brushes for applying luster dust, edible paints, and powdered colors. The tweezers are tremendously helpful for precisely applying small details, and the picks (I don't know their proper name) easily spread royal icing and ensure chocolate makes it into all the little nooks and crannies of your molds.
