bought these pads to place on the seat of my husband's recliner seat, to protect from urine leakage. He uses urinal while in the chair. He also sleep in this chair at nite, while recovering from total knee replacement surgery. So he is moving in the chair to change position from time to time. This is a good size- the next larger size 36x36 is dependent on your requirements. I find that buying the larger sizes I can cut the unsoiled section and continue using it. For MY purpose it was for elderly cat and they tend to roll up the pads after use and that can get messy. Having smaller pieces laid on top of the larger sheets helps immensely with clean up. If you are using these on a bed or sofa- you might also consider a clear shower curtain to lay out first -then add the pads . We live and learn when it comes to cleaning up a mess. ... show more
