So first of all, I bought these lights to set up a canopy bed so full disclosure - they were not used outside as intended. That said, I really like the outcome of the set up. The "icicles" are spaced nicely so I didn't need to double back. The lights were nice and super bright. The longest length is about 2ft and the shortest one a little over 1ft. These lights are rather nice. Long length, connect end to end securely, wire is not stiff, and they are not heavy. I had a minor issue with one string. I contacted the manufacturer as instructed on the leaflet in the box. The manufacture's response was super prompt and the issue was resolved quickly. Box was smashed & absolutely falling apart and couldn't be closed. Clearly had been returned and not put in a decent box. Lights are ok, but not a pretty soft warm white... somewhat garish like all LEDs are. So bear that in mind if you plan to mix them in with other warm white lights.
