I got this as a temporary cage for our peachicks, and so I could connect it to the coop in the future and add more room for our chickens. It’s not the sturdiest thing in the world but for the price it’s satisfactory. The frame is super light, which makes moving it around and assembling really easy but obviously has its downsides. I decided to prop up the feet onto cinder blocks to add some weight because we get really strong wind storms in the spring and I was worried it could potentially blow away. This also raised the height a bit which is nice, although as a 5’4 woman I have no issue standing inside comfortably. I did have to bury some hardware cloth around the bottom to fill the gap but it’s good practice to do that anyways so predators can’t burrow in. Like I said assembly was pretty easy. I did the whole thing myself with minimal help over the course of a couple days (because it was too hot to work in the afternoons) it would likely go a lot faster with two or three people though, you could probably finish in a few hours. I used the zip ties sparingly at first because I was afraid of running out but there were plenty left over so I went back to tie up any gaps. One extra thing I did was take some of the foam padding in the box and use it to wrap around the door frame, so you won’t cut your hands on the chicken wire. No, it's not predator proof. Anyone with chickens knows that it keeps chickens in, instead of keeping raccoons, foxes, etc., out. But, it goes together pretty quickly, looks good, and makes a decent run. There were a couple places that appear to be missing holes, we worked around that. One place was missing one of the little snap knobs. The instructions could be way better! But they give you ample netting and zip ties. We couldn't build one this size using lumber for the same price and time investment. ... show more

Very simple to put together with little push pin snap in place connections on the poles. The security latch is a joke so you'll have to rig something on there for security and the mesh isn't just a pain in the neck to put on that's also low quality and if you have raccoons or possums or in my situation those plus foxes and coyotes it would be easy access for your flock. I'm going to have to layer over the provided mesh with either hardware cloth or welded wire to keep the flock safe. Like I said not bad for someone who lives in the suburbs with no Wildlife that would be interested in their poultry ... show more

I got this to connect to my chicken coop. The run fits 6 chickens pretty well, I wouldn’t do anymore. They have room to walk and play and be happy. We have 12 more chickens and got the larger version of this for them which is twice the size. It’s easy to set up the frame, the chicken wire around it is sturdy and more Plastic but doesn’t break. To set up chicken wire around it be prepared to have a friend help as it’s a two person job. Great product for the price though ... show more

The frame is a good quality though the tarp/cover should be of higher grade. Also putting together the core structure was very easy but… cutting and matching the chicken wire to the frame was not easy.
