  • Worked so well I have 2
Pattern Name: AIR49
Good coops. Easy to assemble. Not perfect but they work well. The bottom pull out for cleaning does not work well so I just shovel out from the big side door. Rain will leak into the bottom of the side door so I now have a piece of plywood leaning against the coops which works well. I also placed a piece of plywood over the top of the run so they have a covered area. I use furring strips to screw plastic to the sides of the run in winter (northern WI) which keeps them cozy. Buried hardware cloth around the sides to keep out predators. I made a larger run for daytime then lock the doors of the secure little run at night. Easily fits 10+ birds with a large feeder on the inside. I do not place a heater in the winter and they do just fine. 2+ years of use and it’s still holding up well. Not the greatest construction (thin walls) but works fine. It is nice to have 2 as I can separate birds if needed as I do when I introduce new baby chicks. ... show more

  • Good for the price. Will update as time goes on.
Pattern Name: AIR45
I don’t think it’s the manufacturers fault for the broken wood as it’s more FedEx fault. But figure I’d put it out here that it is incredibly soft wood. So I’d make reinforcements to the final coop before use. Extra support, maybe extra screws but not too many. I’d also make sure it’s weighted down so they wind won’t take it. I’m in a very windy area and I’m gonna secure it down with tposts. Anyway it’s easy to put together I did most of it by myself but 2 people is probably better. I’ll update as time goes on. But I will be making my own DIY upgrades to it. Thanks! I’d buy it if your handy and can get creative it’s a good base. I’m using it for a brooder/quail enclosure. I’d use it for bantams only personally. ... show more

  • Giving it 5 Stars 26 days & Counting!
Pattern Name: AIR61
The product functions as advertised with no damage upon delivery, and all coop pieces arrived intact in the shipping box. Assembly proved straightforward; my daughter assisted in connecting the front and back sides of the larger coop area. However, she became distracted, leaving me to complete assembly in a dimly lit living room. The instructions are user-friendly. Disclaimer: The coop lacks water resistance, evident during assembly as it seemed to absorb moisture from my hands. Before housing my birds, I sprayed the exterior with Flex Seal, requiring approximately 1 1/2 cans applied lightly. Additionally, I covered it with a tarp for added rain protection, successfully withstanding a Florida thunderstorm on its first night. Birds: Currently housing 4 Plymouth Rock chickens, all thriving. I received the first egg the day after moving them in, indicating their contentment. Three birds of this size fit comfortably; accommodating four is feasible. Thoughts: Considering the price, it offers unbeatable value, especially for owners seeking a prompt housing solution for their chickens. However, given its non-water-resistant nature, additional precautions against rain are necessary. ... show more

  • Not what Was expected.
Pattern Name: AIR46
Thought this thing was going to hold 10-15 chickens. Maybe if they are small breeds but even small breeds this will be a stretch. The "Coop" or Roosting area is maybe 3ft by 3ft wide with an additional 8in by 3ft nesting box on both sides. The building materials were made of mostly real wood. Smells like Cedar wood so at least it may be rot resistant. But the material may be half an inch thick and the way this assembles there basically no support bracing to keep this from coming tumbling down with a heavy wind. I am going to use a few 2x4 and do some reinforcement to keep it viable. I would also recommend a good exterior paint because even though cedar is rot resistant its to thin of a material to last very long without some serious help. The good thing. Man was this packages great, which proves the point of weak materials now that i think about it. This was 100% not worth the 800 dollar + 200 dollar shipping. This may be a 200$ Chicken Run. Would have been better off buying one of the Tractor Supply units same size and less than half the cost. Overall I would not buy this unless its needed temporarily and for no more than 4-5 chickens (even small breed) ... show more
