This works great! Saw this on YouTube and wanted to save money on storage so picked it up. One thing to note is that I did have to modify the ally backplate slightly by snipping a small portion of spacer that was touching the SSD which caused a small bulge in the back. May have been because of the particular SSD I used but I’m not sure. At that point I was already set to keep my Ally so I did not mind.     • Small issues to workaround due to space constraints
1. The screw included sticks out and causes the board to bend up with securing the drive.I had to dig in box and find a low profile screw 2. Had to use a tiny piece of tape to avoid a short on the underside of the extension because it contacts the battery terminals for the ROG 3.
