This works great! Saw this on YouTube and wanted to save money on storage so picked it up. One thing to note is that I did have to modify the ally backplate slightly by snipping a small portion of spacer that was touching the SSD which caused a small bulge in the back. May have been because of the particular SSD I used but I’m not sure. At that point I was already set to keep my Ally so I did not mind. The board itself does work and it does mostly fit. The long "L" piece is pretty flimsy and the screw at the end doesn't really capture the SSD as well as it should. In the pictures it also shows it not laying entirely flat. I would suggest using some double sided stick tape or something to keep it from flopping around. Especially if you travel with your Ally. I realize this is not an intended installation method but this just airs on the side of sketchy and I wouldn't recommend it if you love your Ally. ... show more
