I've had other Chapin sprayers before and they have always worked as they should. I've used this 4gal backpack sprayer many times already for both pre-emergents and fertilizers. The sprayer worked as expected. Easy to pump (don't over pump/pressurize) and maintains the pressure very well. Seals are working great. The wand is easy to use and is flexible. Even though the flexible wands can become deformed when left in the sun during summer and in a bent position. The flexible wands take more abuse. The tank is easy to see liquid level, and is thick. The spray nozzles are standard size so easy to replace. Overall a very good sprayer that will last years if taken care of. Make sure to clean out when storing. ... show more

    • Gets the job done
I've lived in the country my whole life, so I've had on quite a few backpack sprayers in my time. This one is pretty good. It isn't perfect, but it will certainly get the job done. While I got it for free to try, the price is good for what you get (at the time of writing, the price was reduced to $58 from the usual $80). The spray is smooth and consistent. The pump works well, and I like the ones that let you switch sides. My issue is just the comfortability. The straps are nothing special and it feels a bit hard against the back. Granted, I am tall and boney, so maybe it is just my curse, but it could definitely use some extra padding between the user and the backpack. ... show more

I don’t really have a large yard to justify such a big tank, but to be completely honest, I’m lazy, and not having to stop and refill my sprayer several times is a huge plus for me. The sprayer is surprisingly comfortable, especially considering its purpose. Keeping it up to pressure while using it is really convenient as well.     • Great Backpack Sprayer
This backpack sprayer works awesome. After living in the desert for quite a few years, we're always struggling with smaller weeds growing in the rocks of our yards so I was looking for an easier way to spray them down rather than using the sprayers that come built-in. This backpack is perfect. Using this, I simply dump the weed spray into the backpack, pump it up, strap it on my back and I can spray down the entire outside of my house/property in one shot - all without my hands hurting and without running out of spray. Build quality of the backpack is near professional. I haven't had any issues with the spray nozzle, the compression pump/handle or with the straps used to wear the backpack.
