Description

The Champion Power Equipment 4500-Watt Inverter Generator with CO Shield® is ultra-quiet and ideal for camping, tailgating, powering items around the RV or providing backup for your essentials. Champion’s got convenience covered. Starting and stopping your generator from up to 80 feet away with the wireless remote key fob is a snap. Champion’s EZ Start Dial makes getting started quick and easy. Featuring Cold Start Technology, Extended Run Time, and an easy-to- read fuel gauge, the reliable 212cc Champion engine produces 4500 starting watts and 3500 running watts, and runs for 14 hours at 25% load when the 2.3-gallon fuel tank is full. With a 0.5-quart oil capacity (included 10W-30) and a low oil shut-off sensor, this inverter operates at an ultra-quiet 61 dBA from 23 feet, which is about as loud as normal speech. The no tool access panel and oil drain tube allow for easy maintenance. Confidently connect your sensitive electronics since this inverter produces Clean Power (less than 3% THD). Our Quick Touch Panel offers fast access to all your controls. The Intelligauge with Power Meter monitors voltage, frequency, and operating hours with ease, while Economy Mode monitors power consumption in real time to reduce engine wear and tear. As the electrical load is reduced, the inverter reduces engine speed, providing quieter operation, extended engine life and higher fuel economy. The covered outlets in this RV Ready inverter include a 120V 30A RV (TT-30R), a 120V 20A household duplex outlet (5-20R), a 12V regulated automotive-style outlet, and a handy dual port USB adapter. The optional Parallel Kit (sold separately), with included standard 50-amp RV outlet, allows you to increase output by connecting up to two 2800-watt or higher inverters. The never flat tires and fold-down handle make transport a cinch. Buy this EPA certified and CARB compliant generator with confidence – Champion Support and our nationwide network of service centers will back up your purchase with a 3-year limited warranty and FREE lifetime technical support. CO Shield® technology monitors the accumulation of carbon monoxide (CO), a poisonous gas produced by engine exhaust when the generator is running. If CO Shield® detects unsafe elevated levels of CO gas, it automatically shuts off the engine. CO Shield® is not a substitute for an indoor carbon monoxide alarm or for safe operation. DO NOT allow engine exhaust fumes to enter a confined area through windows, doors, vents or other openings. Generators must ALWAYS be used outdoors, far away from occupied buildings with engine exhaust pointed away from people and buildings. Meets the requirements of ANSI/PGMA G300-2018.

  • These are great generators!
Style: 4500-Watt + Dual Fuel + EZ Electric Start
We own an off grid property. I have two of these units. I alternate between the two, to charge our lifepo battery pack and to power tools etc. They start great, are very quiet compared to an open frame unit. Neither have given me any issues, both are at 600 hours of run time. I change oil every 50-75 hours with full synthetic. I clean and maintain per the manual. I readjusted valves at 300 hours on both as well as replaced spark plugs. (Both tasks very easy to do) when the time comes to replace I will definitely go back to Champion. Not sure if they sell rebuild kits for the engines but that could be another option. Ring off grid it’s nice having the dual fuel option. I have run low on gas and used propane. Less emissions for from propane but not as efficient as gas for power. I have the 50 am link set up which runs my welder without any issues. Only complaint……. I wish the dual fuel units had remote start. ... show more

  • Quiet, reliable and efficient.
Style: 4500-Watt + Dual Fuel + EZ Electric Start
I have owned this generator for 3 years and have put nearly 900 hours on it. The only issues I have had with it were...1: After running it non-stop in 115+degree weather for 7 days while powering my campervan and a friend's pop up tent camper, both running a/c units, the next camping trip the generator failed to start. Turned out to be low oil and a quick oil change fixed the issue. 2: I've only used the gasoline tank once, right after I purchased it and it has remained empty ever since. Last fall I discovered the tank had rusted out and is no longer usable. Not a big deal for me because I run it on propane. Other than that, this generator has been one of the best purchases Ive ever made. It sips fuel. When not running my a/c it will run 48+hrs non-stop on a 7.5gallon propane tank. ... show more

  • Easy start, low noise, work horse
Style: 4500-Watt + Dual Fuel + EZ Electric Start
I bought this gen, on the advice of a friend, when I bought my LQ horse trailer. So far, I have used it twice in emergency situations for backup power. In winter, it ran all night on 1 tank of gas, in summer, with A/C running on low cool full thermostat, it ran 8 hours on a tank. I am impressed with the esse of starting, it fires right up everytime! It fits perfect in my tack compartment under the lower saddle rack. ... show more

  • Wow! Simply WOW!
Style: 4500-Watt + Dual Fuel + EZ Electric Start
Update 7/22/23. Having had 2 years to use this I can say no southern home should be without 1. I've used it exclusively on propane, using to power a 30cuft fridge in the kitchen as well as a 28cuft in the garage along with a huge upright freezer & maybe a fan or 2 & it's run for HOURS without fail, if I had to guess I'd say during Irma, it ran on 1 tank for 16 hours & I didn't get through the 2nd tank before the power came back on. Simply incredible. I also have a Yamaha inverter generator which is extremely quiet but not duel fuel & it needed to be refueled after maybe 6-8 hours of similar use. It starts up instantly & I'm considering buying another even though the 1 I have was several hundred $$ cheaper 2 years ago. If you're looking at this & wondering if you should get it, stop wondering & buy it. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. When I first moved to Florida 16 years ago I purchased a Yamaha inverter just in case so my food would spoil in the fridge & freezer. Didn't have to use it until a couple of years ago & it started right up but what I quickly found was that if the power was out because of a major storm for several days, getting gas was going to be a problem. It ran well, was reasonably quiet & used a tank of gas about every 14-18 hours. Fortunately my power came back on after about 30 hours. So, I cleaned it up & put it back in the garage. I came across this inverter by chance, seeing an ad for another brand while searching for something else. I didn't even know there was such a thing as a dual fuel inverter, not this small anyway. So, I did some research & this brand & model seemed to get the best reviews so I decided to give it a shot. It arrived well packaged in its original packaging & I prepared it for first use with a test using propane. Holy cow is it quiet! Significantly less quiet than even my Yamaha inverter which was the quietest when I bought it. It also handles a higher load than my Yamaha & actually cost $400 less even though it's 16 years later, handles over 1,000 watts more AND is dual fuel! Sure enough, about 10 days after I bought it I got to really put it to the test as a tropical storm came whistling through & the power went out late at night (unusual to lose power here for a tropical storm) so the first 1 that got started was this inverter using propane. It handled 2 29 cu. ft. refrigerators & a very large upright freezer without even stressing. Tried getting the Yamaha going to use for several fans but was having a problem getting gas out of these ridiculous new (& cheaply made) gas cans so I gave up since I didn't have enough hands at 2am to hold a funnel & 5 gallon gas can if I took the nozzle off. So I hooked a couple of fans up to this baby & it still kept going without a hitch. Power came back on around sunrise but after about 4 hours of use it only used about 1/4 of a 20lb. propane tank. Very impressive indeed. ... show more

  • A DUAL FUEL GENERATOR THAT RUNS FOREVER
Style: 4500-Watt + Dual Fuel + EZ Electric Start
We originally bought this generator in 2022 because we live in the mountains of Upstate South Carolina and outages are not uncommon. It is dual fuel (propane or gasoline), which we bought because we have an underground propane tank and wholehouse system. However, I did not realize that the propane fitting for the generator is not the same as for our wholehouse system. And you can't get a propane adapter for the generator, presumably because they don't want you running the generator without regularly checking on it. Having said that, the generator got its first real test after Hurricane Helene. We have been running it for 72 hours, with cool-down breaks before refilling the gas tank. Even though the manual says it will run for 16 hours on one tank of gas, it has been running quietly on a full tank (two gallons) for 22 hours at a time, providing power for two refrigerators, a floor lamp, floor fan, an occasional hair dryer or tv, and various charging devices. The electric start works well, although you may have to use the pull start if it hasn't been started in a while. All in all, it is an excellent product. And we are VERY grateful to have it after this nasty storm. ... show more
