I bought this because I just needed occasional wall protection for behind my wood stove. I have plenty of clearance, but notice at times the wall gets too hot. I can easily fold it away and take it out when I need it. It just gives me some security and very economical.

This blanket is really more like 1.5" thick. My Quadra-fire Cumberland Gap’s original blanket was less than 1" thick. This replacement easily cuts to size and I easily divided or split it down the middle thickness-wise and now fits great. And by cutting and splitting, I got 4 usable blankets out of this 1 piece; enough for many years to come. ... show more
