UPDATE 6/22/24: In my initial review I said how bird poo just rinsed off easily. That is true if you catch it shortly after it is deposited. If however, it sits in the sun all day and bakes, it does not just rinse off. You have to use a sponge or rag along with water to remove it. Just thought I'd mention it so you can make an informed decision. Original Review: Got this as I was tired of the older waxes and the amount of work they took to apply. Also, the wax only lasted a few months before needing to be reapplied. This ceramic coating says it is easy to apply and it lasts for quite some time before needing to be reapplied. They are truthful in how easy this is to apply. My wife and I applied 2 coats in less time than it would have taken to apply 1 coat of wax (not counting the 2 hours between coats per the instructions). It took much longer to deep clean the car and prep the surface, than to apply the Cerakote. Our car is silver in color, so it was never one to shine or glisten very noticeably. Not like the deep colors that can really sparkle. I can say, it looks about the same as if we had waxed it. I did not see any streaking after application, but again, it would be hard to see with the silver paint color. The commercials that show things just sliding off the hood after applying are totally full of it. The paint does feel slicker to the touch than untreated surfaces, but nothing is going to just slide off by itself. I can say that after treatment, bird poo pretty much rinses off without having to wipe (huge benefit as our vehicles are parked outside under trees). My biggest concern is how long the coating will last. I am hoping with 2 coats applied, it will last at least 6-8 months. Time will tell. At least I know it will be easy to reapply when necessary. I will update this review when some time has passed and I can actually see how long it lasts. ... show more

Cerakote is simple to use and leaves a fantastic showroom shine. I covered my entire car in about a 1/2 hour in my garage. The finish was brilliant as the fluorescent lights reflected off the car. When the car got wet the beads of water just slid off like glass. I have tried other product but so far this one seems to work the best. I recommended this to my brother-in-law and would recommend it to anyone that asks. I will definitely use this again. ... show more

Not all ceramic paint protectors are the same, Cerakote as a company is renowned for producing high quality products and this seem to be one of them. I applied this to my new and clean car with great ease. Spray it onto a small defined area, like a fender, use one of the enclosed microfiber cloths to spread it evenly and buff it when it develops a haze, it won't take long. This is the easiest ceramic paint protector to apply that I have ever used. The result is a high sheen that is very hydrophobic, water just runs off. After watching the application video, this product was very easy to apply. It left the vehicles shiny and silky smooth. Days later, in the rain, it was fun to watch the water beads getting wind blown around on the hood. I did notice that when I stopped for the first time (on a rainy day), rivers of water poured off the roof and down my windshield. I can't speak to the longevity of the application since it has only been two weeks, but I'm hoping for a few months. ... show more
