Bug & Tar Remover is a heavy-duty cleaner that safely washes bugs and tar from any vehicle. Bug guts are some of the worst things for automotive paint. Flying insects contain corrosive chemicals that permanently damage paint if left unchecked. The concentrated Bug & Tar formula breaks down the most stubborn dried bugs and tar residue to save the surface from permanent damage. The special formula is safe on bumpers, windshields, headlights, plastics, chrome, grilles, painted surfaces, and more. Simply add 1 - 3 oz. Of Bug & Tar Remover to the normal soap in the car wash bucket to remove dried bugs and grime. For spot treatment, dilute Bug & Tar Remover 6: 1 in a spray bottle, spray on the surface, then gently wipe away nasty bugs with a premium microfiber towel. Bug & Tar Remover is safe for Clear coat and single stage paint finishes, and removes heavy bugs without damaging paintwork. The versatile formula breaks down grease, tar, dried bugs, road Film, insects, and asphalt. The last thing you want to do is use a rough brush or mitts to remove them as this only induces more damage. Bug & Tar Heavy Duty Car Wash Shampoo will remove these bugs with ease along with other fluids, oil and tar spots. I used this bug and tar remover on my Crosstrek. Front bumper and lower door panels had bugs and some tiny tar pimples. I have a bug an d tar sponge. The bugs come off great, and my spray bottle dilution as recommended 6:1. Tar did not budge after 3-5 min presoak. I added more product to my spray bottle and it helped, but I still had to fingernail the stretched tar on my paint and rub way harder that likely will scratch my paint. SO I used a fresh microfiber rag with undiluted product. This seemed to work better. So this product is not well suited for tar. A great bumper and panel presoak, it works, but tar is heavier as it dries hardened. So prefer to have a petro-based paint safe product for tar that does not damage clear coating. I suggest "Klean Strip interior Odorless Mineral Spirits" for more effective against tar and wash panel thereafter then apply protection again. ... show more

At the end of summer there are a ton of grasshoppers that what to die on your vehicle. They make it so difficult to remove their guck off the front of the vehicle and windshield. I have a power washer yet it doesn't do the job. I purchased this just hoping it would work. Added it to my foaming gun and was amazed that it took 95% of the bugs off. Didn't work well for me. Mixed into a spray bottle as per instructions and applied to white truck. Lots of bugs. Applied several times and wipe furiously. Finally got most off. Purple soap works much faster with better results.

I have tried many bug and tar removers and this BY FAR is the easiest and best!!! I diluted it in a spay bottle, since it is a concentrate, and just sprayed it on and wiped it off and the bug guts came off with it! I also use their wax and with both of them, cleaning and waxing my truck is so easy. Very pleased with the product and will definitely buy it again, when I run out!! ... show more
