I have used this shampoo for a few years now. I may be on my 6th or 8th bottle- a little of this shampoo goes a long way. I use the Diamond lite for my naturally grey hair and it works LIKE A DREAM to keep the yellow tones out of my gray. It makes my hair look more icy than flat gray. Ppl compliment my hair all the time and I swear it’s this shampoo. Idk if they have a conditioner, but I use a regular conditioner after I wash with this shampoo. I think the key is in getting a good lather and I leave it on while I wash up before rinsing it out. It has a mild fragrance- so it’s not overwhelming or perfumy, but it smells nice. Did not blow me away. Left my blonde hair looking slightly silvery but also just a tad bit blue/green- I think it is a good anti-brass treatment maybe best for some other shade of blonde hair? Also, any darker hair does not pick up the color so if it has any warmth, it kind of clashes with the high lights that do pick up the corrective color. ... show more

I have very pale bleach blonde hair so I thought the color deposit would be great but it hardly showed up at all! And where u did see it it was patchy as hell. I have dry hair already considering I do use bleach but damn I thought it was gonna break the hell off after I used it!

I've used a silver toner before on my highlighted hair so I wanted to find something that will bring that silver color back. I have to use it at least 3 times to see some silver. It leaves my hair a little bit dry.

    • I finally found the perfect toning shampoo for light brown hair

If you have brown hair with blonde highlights or balayage that you are trying to keep cool, this is the stuff for you. I have tried so many toning shampoos like shimmer lights and joico, but nothing seemed to really combat my brassiness. My angel of a colorist recommended this stuff, and it is amazing. She pointed out that purple toning shampoos don't work on darker hair, they're great if you're platinum blonde and trying to cancel out yellow tones. But purple doesn't cancel out orange, blue does. It's basic color wheel stuff, people. I can't say how this works for blonde or natural gray hair, but for lightened brown hair, look no farther, this is the stuff for you. It is strong though, it actually deposits gray on your hair. So be careful with how long you keep it on and try not to get it on your skin. And use a hydrating deep conditioner. I use a "hair mask" with coconut oil everytime I use this shampoo and my hair looks and feels great. ... show more
