I read many of the reviews and was a bit hesitant to even buy this bed but I decided to roll the dice. This weekend we put it together and I was very impressed how organized the packaging was. Every single piece was numbered which made assembly very easy to put together. If you are not "mechanically inclined I could see someone struggle a but but if you just take your time, READ the instruction, you can get it done! So, it is sturdy but its tiny...it is not an impressive vintage looking bed like in the picture....the headboard and foot board are tiny, and not as thick or impressive as in the picture.

I like the bed frame, it’s a simple design but nice. Strong and sturdy frame, and easy to assemble. One person can do it, but with two people, it’s done quickly. The rise is 9.5 inches not 12.2 which means it’s a low bed and 8 inch mattress is a good fit.
