My friend's copy of this. His yellow disks had the numbers rub off some time before playing the game 20 times. So when I got my copy today. I decided to put a clear coat of nail polish to protect the numbers so they last. While it didn't come out perfect. I want to say if you are going to do this. Make sure you cover the numbers with the clear coat in one pass. When I went to use the brush to thin the clear coat. It began to take off the black numbers and dots. It made 1 number look antiqued and number 12 was mostly stripped. However I was able to use a black sharpie to write the Number 12 and Dot back on. Thankfully it doesn't look horrible. ... show more

A good family or gateway game that stands the test of time. This 3D version is an eye candy that raises the game to another level in perception. At the discount of ~ two third of the retail price, great as festival or wedding gift to friends. Thus, I bought a few.

A must for fans of catan - totally immersive feeling w the 3D tiles and actually a value IMO if you get it during prime day considering the 25th anniver “normal” catan version we purchased prior was 50 USD.

If you enjoy playing CATAN like I do, then this is a great product. Especially if you don’t like when your board edges move around, which this eliminates. Also the 3D tiles and pieces are well done. Love it so much I bought the Seafarers and Cities and Knights 3D Expansion Pack.

    • That packaging though . . .
The box is pretty flimsy not to mention awkwardly huge will not fit in most spaces designated for board games. I recommend the makers put this beautiful set in a customized red pelican case and people would love it even more and it would help justify the price tag which doesn't lend itself to the current boxing materials/quality by any means. Don't skimp out on the packaging! Games like these need good solid storage. I guarantee your CATAN customers will love an upgrade like this. If you do ever make a custom pelican case let me know IMMEDIATELY Ill be the first one in line to buy it. ... show more

    • Definitive version of a classic game!
We bought this copy as a gift for a friend, and have our copy for about a year. The pieces are beautifully painted and really add to the immersion. Best of all the hexagons don’t constantly shift and come loose like the standard version. Must have for your next game night!
