    • It really is air tight!
The case has a valve on it. I laughed until I closed it and then went to open the case and it fought a little. Wasn't trying to test anything, had just closed the valve so it would not be loose. Now I close it to keep the humidity out! I live on an island and bought it to "lessen" the impact of the atmosphere here, as well as give me a good strong case to carry my new work computer. Being truly air-tight was something I guess I ignored in the description as that is usually "just marketing" and unless you buy an expensive Pelican, you just ignore such claims. This thing is also very tough. If I was attacked, I could probably send my attacker to the hospital pretty easily with this thing if a swung it at them. So, you can defend yourself with it too. LOL... Just kidding, but the truth. There is a card that comes with it for warranty, which is a lifetime warranty if you register with them. Very very pleased with the choice. Bought a second larger one for my older computer, because I think being in that case will allow it to work a bit longer. Yep,, I bought one for an almost dead laptop because I think getting it out of the humidity might just let me use than one for other things for awhile, and I'm banking the case can get that done for me. I bought this before a trip and I was truly shocked to the durability and reliability. I wanted to test the water proof abilities so I opened the case on an airplane only to open it again off the airplane and can easily say that you do not need to worry about water. I couldn’t open the case with a metal object until I opened the release valve. The seal/gasket is reliable and you can trust that whatever is inside is safe. I wish the design was better. It's got plenty of padding, I can fit the laptop, mouse, & cords in perfectly fine without risking damage to the computer. Definitely worth the price when it's keeping a several thousand dollar computer from being damaged.

It is extremely durable but if you are planning on being light weight, look somewhere else. This thing is pretty heavy for me being a small woman. Not to mention, it also looks like you could look pretty suspicious carrying this thing around. It makes you look pretty "cloak and dagger" lol. But, if you don't care about all that and you just want your expensive laptops and/or sidetrak portable monitor to be safe, this is your case! ... show more
