I was skeptical to purchase this because of the price lol, but after receiving it the price is very much justified. It is great quality, and fits my kindle oasis sleekly, and perfectly. When I got my Kindle Oasis, I did some research to decide which case would best suit me. Ended up on this one. Specifically the one called "Z-Shades of Blue" which is so beautiful yet understated. The case has made it very enjoyable to read my kindle. There is a strap you can slide your hand into that I love and always use. There is a kickstand you can open up if you want to set it on a table (used that as well!). This kickstand also has a pocket so that you can put your driver's license and a credit card in there if you really want to pack light. This case does an excellent job of putting my device asleep when I close it and waking it back up when I open it. Need to pop the kindle out the case? No problem. The kindle is definitely snug in there (I've dropped it with the case on and it didn't pop out - instead, the case protected it!). But if you need to pop it out of the case? It's actually pretty easy to do, which I appreciate. Lastly, it does a fantastic job of protecting the kindle. I recently (unknowingly) sat on my kindle. For a long time that day (somehow didn't realize it for a long time?). Well, I finally did notice and pulled it out. The kindle was in perfect condition. The case? Barely bent and wasn't hard to get it back to its correct flatness. I can't say enough good things about this case. It's taken my kindle reading experience to a whole new level. ... show more

This case is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also very sturdy and functional. The case itself is made very well. There is a magnet that holds the front over of the case closed as well as secures the front cover to the back cover when you are using the kindle. The case also features a stand to prop up your kindle but my favorite feature is the holding strap. Due to the Oasis adjusting the orientation based on how you hold it, the strap functions as both a left and right handed strap. I highly recommend this case for your Kindle Oasis. ... show more

When my Oasis arrived, I liked it a lot, but since there was a good gripping area on the right side, but only a quarter inch gripping area on the left, my left hand was constantly getting tired and causing me to drop it on my floor, which is vinyl over concrete. So it didn't take me long to realize that I needed a good case to give more gripping areas and to protect the case from falls. I selected this one, choosing the tan leather design. When it arrived, I instantly liked its appearance. The embossed design on the leather reminded of a specially bound book. I don't know if it's real or simulated leather, but it looks and feels real. it naturally gives me a more secure grip on my Oasis, so dropping it is a thing of the past. The fact that just closing the case sends my Oasis into sleep mode is also convenient. The back rest is surprisingly useful. Other holders that I have used claimed to incorporate a back rest, but they only held the tablets in a landscape position, and I prefer to read in a portrait position. I was in the habit of keeping a phone rest in my carry bag, but with the built-in backrest, no separate holder was needed. I also found that the back rest could act as a handle and give me a really secure grip on my Oasis. A good case is really necessary for any Kindle, and, for an Oasis, This is a really good one.     • Exchanged due to it turning off, but now works well

The media could not be loaded. The first one of these I received had the issue where it would randomly turn off the Kindle. I would open it up and it would turn off randomly. It seemed to have the most after putting my fingers through the strap. It was incredibly frustrating. There were so many positive reviews that didn’t complain of the auto shutoff that I decided to give it another go. I also loved the color and the hand strap so I exchanged it. The new one doesn’t have the shutting off issue at all. The case front does slip around a little bit when it’s closed, but I hardly notice it and it’s only if you are really pushing it around will you care (see my video). The magnetic that keeps it open is really good, the case doesn’t move around at all. The stand is really nice and has a good angle if you just don’t want to hold your Kindle. The absolute best part is the strap. Unlike other reviews I’ve seen, it can be used for either hand, since all you need to do is turn the Kindle and the screen auto flips (unless maybe those reviewers had a setting that turned that off?). The tension of the strap is really good and doesn’t cut off circulation or anything. I’ve even fallen asleep and the Kindle hasn’t fallen out of my hand. I’ve tried the strap that’s in the middle of the case and even with my long fingers (7 inches from base of hand to tip of middle finger) I could only get the very tips of my fingers through the strap and I couldn’t hold on at all. This one though I highly recommend, but I did take off a star because I had to exchange it and it seems to be a common issue. ... show more
