I got this little unit for an old VW I bought and I was not disappointed. Hands free in my Ford truck has spoiled me and this stereo has a hands free function that really works well. I didn't even need the supplied remote mic. The one in the unit worked fine in my little car. It's not a terribly loud stereo but the reception and sound quality are very good. Sounds fine, everything seems to work. Love the adjustable colors. I'm happy The android app works. Had slight trouble using app and streaming Bluetooth audio from same cellphone to radio at the same time. I think if I start streaming audio Bluetooth and then fire up the remote app it seems to work. I noticed that on the app, there were times, I had to click to connect several times before it will work. I have a old Note 8 so it could be my phone. The Android app is probably the main reason I purchased this radio. The radio was installed in my camper. Wiring could not have been any simpler. I connected red and yellow to power + Fuse is not in wiring harness. It's in the back of the radio (much better) Sounds fine... but... mine is connected to crappy camper factory speakers. ha ha I had to open it up to install special mounting brackets so I took pictures of the insides just for fun. No battery for remote needs a 2025 battery If this radio got destroyed or stolen/etc. I probably would buy it again. ... show more

I understand that you get what you pay for, even so, if the product is named something it should follow what that means. The meh user experience was understandable for the price, with its poor user interface and screen so dark you can't see it during the day, but the fact that it says it's a marine head unit and it can't even take a little rain before it becomes unusable is ridiculous. At first it just locked the source but there are work arounds for that. Now it just randomly mutes itself so often its not even worth it to unmute it. Stay away ... show more

I needed something inexpensive to install in my golf cart since it's our vehicle of choice around town and the RV park during the winter. It works great and connected to a pair of JBL surface mount speakers, it sounds pretty decent too.

    • Hope Bluetooth is not what you want!
At first, I was pretty impressed with the stereo and the quality but I installed it in my boat, purposely for the Bluetooth capabilities. Unfortunately, I’ve had nothing but problems with that feature. Overtime it seemed to forget my phone and now I am unable along with anyone else’s phones to hook up through the Bluetooth. ... show more

Replaced my old pre-bluetooth stock car stereo with this. It works great and came with clear instructions. I didn't need anything fancy, I just wanted a basic wireless music interface in my car.     • Well, that didn't take long...
It's been almost 1 year to the date, and this thing is pretty useless now. The Bluetooth mode is somehow stuck on PHONE mode, and will not return to playing music. Tried resetting it, disconnecting the battery, and combing thru the manual. Nothing. No CD feature available, and maybe 5 stations come in... So yeah, that's awesome. =/ ... show more
