I ordered the Carpathen 30pcs Drip Irrigation Emitters to be used in our Japanese Garden where certain plants required additional irrigation on top of the already in ground irrigation. It arrived via USPS fairly quick but I was busy on other projects so I was not available to install these emitters into the 1/4” irrigation tubes already set up, which had spray emitters, observed too much loss of water due to sometimes windy conditions - so I’m trying these emitters instead. The existing 1/4” industry standard irrigation tube is fairly new so is still flexible and has not hardened from UV exposure, so installing these new emitters was very easy, just cut off the old one and pushed on the new ones, which is A LOT EASIER because it comes with a Push To Connect fitting. Adjusting volume and spray pattern is very easy, just turn the knob until you see the desired spray pattern, I chose closer to drip with a facing down towards the ground. I install them on our three large azalea bushes which I notice tend to dry out fast during the summer months. Then installed them at a couple of shaped bonsai trees that require heavy watering. I’m very satisfied with the quality of construction and the Push To Connect fitting vs the old style where you had to force the drip emitter into the 1/4” tubing. It would have been nice if the quantity in the package was fifty or one hundred but I guess the smaller amount is so customers will go back and order more, which I will eventually do. ... show more

I am a great advocate of drip irrigation systems. When we built luxury houses in the northeast, they were equipped with drip irrigation. Mainly because it is a better way to water your plants. However, the municipalities often put lawn watering restrictions on lawn watering when there isn't enough rain. So you could run these without fear of being ticketed for running a full sprinkler system. These have taken the drip system to another level. The stakes push into the ground and emit a curtain of water only about 2"-3". This is perfect for directly under your bushes or small trees. A regular drip will only get water to one side of a plant. This can spread the water out so it's all around the plant trunk. The other benefit is that this won't get clogged with dirt/mud, which every drip system does eventually due to the small water outlet. Better watering and fewer problems. ... show more

I’m finally getting my garden together the way I had always wanted to. My garden is against a brick wall, facing almost dead west, in zone 9. Afternoon watering in August is almost required, but mostly because a lot of the morning watering is going up in the air. I finally have the resources and energy to install a proper drip system at these are going to be an integral part. Not much you can say about these things, but they are really good admitters. The best thing I like about them is that their push to connect. I really hate the fitted barbs that you have to heat the hose up and then try to fit it on they never stay sometimes and especially in the hot summer they expand and pop off. With these you push them into connect them they are not coming out. The only thing you need to pay attention to is to make sure that the hose you're putting into it is cut perfectly flat if you cut it at an angle and push it in it might leak. ... show more

These are so easy to use, just slide the line into it. No need to push groan or heat the line to soften it. The spray is anywhere from a drip to 3 feet. My wet shoes attest to the distance they can throw the water. I really like staking this type of drip. I wish the stake was about 8 inches long, these are a little shorter than I prefer. The ease of using them and the fact they even have a stake make them much better than any I have purchased in the past. ... show more

We got this style of irrigation for the geodesic dome to be able to water lettuce and plants that do not need to have their leaves water from above. There needs to be a significant amount of pressure behind the drip irrigation system.Decreate the proper umbrella spray. We're using a 900 gallon per hour.Of pump and it still does not seem to be sufficient.So i'm not sure if it's a tubing but won't get back to the review later. We will see how long the plastic last in the colorado sun. Not real convince that these are super durable but we shall see. ... show more
