It works in humid , hot and sunny conditions. I always apply to dry hair (no oils , moisturizer or creams ) . I’ve tried at least 20 edge/ gels in the past only to be completely disgusted. Applies great and smells fabulous! Holds great immediately after application. However, doesn’t hold my daughters 3C/4B hair the entire day. Can’t repurchase.     • It's not what I expected
Most of the products of this line smell great, so I may have been expecting the same from this edge control. It smells faintly like the cream of nature edge control. Which isn't bad, just not what I anticipated. Also It's hold is not good at all. I tested a bit of it on my edges and they didn't stay down for more than 5 mins. I have very soft, 2c hair, and usually use edge control just to handle the frizz my baby hairs have and nothing, I could move it with my finger gently touching it. It didn't set or control my hair at all, so I don't expect it'll work for other hair textures that are curlier than mine. ... show more

i wanted this to work so bad cause i have very frizzy hair in the front of my head and i wanted to use this to lay it down when i wear it open. I used it and withing minutes my hair had the same frizziness and then after 3 days my scalp started to burn so this is a no for me. I still use the shampoo conditioner and leave in spray but the edge control is a no for me thanks. ... show more

So I use this to braid up my daughter's hair as well as the edges and it works like a charm. Silky smooth and just really helpful to my braiding of her hair. I really like that it keeps it's luster through out the day so when I go to pick up my daughter from school, outside of normal wear from her running around, it still looks good and we could go somewhere else if we needed to without having to retouch up her hair.
