  • Carlisle Turf Saver Lawn & Garden Tire 20x10-8
Size: 20/10-8
Do yourself a favor and take this tire to a professional tire shop to be installed. I tried to remove my old tire from the rim and found that somebody had welded the tire to the rim. I didn't know that you could weld rubber to steel. I used a 4 lb. sledgehammer and my 20-ton hydraulic log splitter and still could not break the tire bead from the rim. ... show more

  • Extremely difficult to set the bead without professional tools.
Size: 16/6.50-8 A
Don't bother trying to do this yourself. After fighting with it for hours, I got it on the rim. Then I fought for several days trying to get the bead to seal. Failed no matter what I tried. Took it to a tire shop and they did it in seconds for free. Not worth the stress. Works fine though. Mine does say 2-ply, which is aggravating since someone else said it was 8-ply. ... show more

  • It fits the application perfectly
Size: 20/8-8
This is a good tire/ I took it to my local tire store for installation of the tire and they did it for free.

  • Nice tires. Will work with a tube as well. Tricky install, see below.
Size: 16/6.50-8 A
These are quite difficult to install by hand but it can be done. Go to Harbor Freight and get the 24 in. tire tool for $5.00. A LONG LEVER WITH A CURVED END IS ESSENTIAL. Then watch you tube videos on how to do this. Watch about 10 of them till you find the right one that explains which side to start on. IT IS NOT the same process if you start on the inside or outside bead. One is method is impossible and one is VERY DIFFICULT but successful with patience. You want to start on the bead that is closest to the narrowest part of the wheel. THE TRICK IS when you break that bead, you can press it to the inside of the narrowest part of the wheel (groove kind of) and that will give you the slack you need to get it off the outside on the other side (180 across). IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KEEP EVERYTHING SLIPPERY ENOUGH SLIP OVER THE METAL. But if everything gets slippery, you have no grip. Recommend rubber (nitrile) gloves which will probably shred, and Simple Green. SG will be slippery when wet but dry up quickly enough to grip the rest of the tire when you need to. Something like silicone will lube the whole unit and you'll look like a monkey F***kng a coconut the rest of the process. Once you get one bead popped out all the way around, the other goes into the groove (narrow part of wheel) and comes off same side. Some screwdrivers, wedges or small prybars are useful for preserving your progress as you work around. There's sort of a "start" process when you're trying to lift bead off, then a "middle" process when you are trying to hold your progress and work radially around, and then an end progress when you've got about 270 degrees done and are trying to "pop" the rest. You don't need to buy the HFreight tire changing machine, but that's a last resort. A vertical pole sticking out of the ground that is stable that you can put through the hub of the tire is VERY helpful for levering against radially. You can do it. Use a lot of patience, think very mechanically about how materials behave. Bake the tire in the sun or an oven at about 120 to make it softer. Then approach logically and slowly, each time you lose ground or fail, figure out what went wrong and adjust. I like the resulting ride and look and traction of the tires, they look like quality. I installed tubes (that only SLIGHTLY complicates the reinstall process) but I'm glad I did cuz I'd never want to do this job again for a slow leak. It's an old Snapper Rear engine and I had no confidence the metal bead wasn't corroded. Note, I did this alone. With two people and four hands, it might have been a much more slick process. I think it took me 1.5 hours per wheel to remove, install, insert tube and inflate, so a 3 hour job for a pair. That's working alone. But a very good result. ... show more

What more do you need to know? It's a tire. It fits my mower and works as expected. Price could be better, I guess?

Good fit and puncture resistant. Tread pattern is easy on the lawn and doesn't cause damage.

  • Good tire, affordable price.
Size: 20/8-8
I’ve changed my lawn tractor tires a few times and these work well on my John Deere D100. Use the harbor freight mini tire changer, to pop off the old ones and mount the new ones, unlike the front tires that are easy to set the bead on with a pancake air compressor, these will require a much higher PSI to set the bead…I simply take them once mounted to my nearest discount tire, and slip a guy $5 to set the bead in and out in under 10 min. Easy peasy. ... show more
