    • Really nice for water changes
Size: 533GPH
When its warm out, I just syphon my aquarium water 25 feet to the outside. However, once it starts snowing, I don't like leaving the patio door open to do this and must pump my water a good 50 feet away to a bathtub. While I can still siphon the water, this pump made it easier to do, with no having to "suck and prime a long hose". It comes with 3 nice hose adapters, so choose the one that fits your hose. Once the hose is connected and you have the other end secured (weight it down) to where you are pumping the water to, submerge the pump underwater, plug in and whoosh, you are on your way! My only "negative" observation is that for my use, it wasn't really much faster than a natural syphon. But I was using a small diameter hose, so possibly a bigger diameter hose will work better. That said, starting the syphon was the reason I bought this, super easy and no water mess. ... show more
