I purchased this bag for multiple reasons. I hated hearing all my expensive ($4,500 -I paid to much), callaway clubs smack and scratch each other from crazy cart drivers and bouncy greens. Also the callaway pro bag I had was complete garbage. It fell over no matter what unless propped or strapped. This Echo bag cost less, secures each club individually, with 2 options for the out perimeter clubs. No more banging around even with the worst car drivers. I can also place this bag anywhere and it will stand. This bag is seriously sturdy, it doesn’t twist or sag. The shoulder strap is comfortable and the bag even overloaded feels balanced. It looks great as well I get compliments on it nearly every time I golf. Plenty of cooler space, it fits up to 5 water bottles and doesn’t affect any other pockets volume. Zippers are good quality, no snagging or having to tank it open. The only thing that I feel doesn’t work properly is the pen holder on the right side of top front pocket. My sharpies fall out so I don’t use it. The pen pocket doesn’t seat deep enough so more than half the sharpies of exposed and any bump they fall out. I have used this bag for 8 rounds of golf both as a golf cart bag (bag vertical) and on a pull/push cart (bag at a 45 degree angle +/-). The bag is well made, and has quality fabric, stitches, and zippers. The bag has a great storage compartments that are large and well placed. There is no compartment for keeping drinks cool like some bags have. I have had no negative issues as described in other reviews like zippers breaking or stitches pulling out. Here are my pluses and minuses. I do not consider the minuses to be deficiencies just characteristics. The club head retainers for irons work great when used as a golf cart bag. For a pull cart, the iron club head retainers work if I am careful how I put the club back. For driver, fairway, and hybrid clubs, the center holes work well for both the golf cart and pull/push cart. When removing these clubs, the clubs need to be first pulled out of the small diameter shaft holders then out of the bag because of the tapered shaft diameter. In either configuration the clubs do not rattle together. The tabs for the longest zippers on the 2 largest side pockets fall under the top bag holders on a pull/push cart. I just open the zipper abut 3" before I put the bag in the pull/push cart. Because the height of the bag is taller than a standard bag, the head covers bunch up when using the center three club holes. Not a problem for me when used on a golf cart when the bag sits vertical, but the head covers can come off when used on a pull/push cart when the bag sits at an angle. The bag is actually fairly light. So as a golf cart bag 5 stars, pull/push cart bag 3.5 - 4 stars, shoulder bag 0 stars (don't think it was intended as walking bag) ... show more

Once you get use to the size difference, about 4" taller than a standard bag, you'll love it. I'm 69 so I'm done carrying my bag. This bag has tons of storage, it's thoughtfully made, and looks great. It keeps your clubs from clanking against one another. Very sturdy. I love it.

    • It’s a very tall bag

I knew from the description it was a tall bag but I guess I didn’t realize just how tall it actually looks and feels. Tall! So this height is apparently necessary so that the club heads nestle down into the molded openings in the top. This way they don’t bang around, hence the “Silencer” description. On traditional bags, the club heads are a foot above the top and can bang into each other. To me, this additional 6-7 inches of height on the “ask echo” bag felt and looked awkward. I did put my clubs in this new bag just to check out the fitment of everything. The irons and putter all have individual sleeves but the Driver, 3 wood, and hybrid go in one large center opening. These woods set down in the bag so far that the head covers actually hit the top of the bag before the grips ends hit the bottom of the bag. Not a big deal except the club head covers tend to cover up the adjacent irons. So maybe the intent is to put the three clubs in that center section without head covers and snap the shaft into the retainers molded into the top. I tried that but any motion of the bag caused the 3 club heads to swivel around in their retainers and contact each other. That’s the last thing I want to happen to my $$$ driver! I wanted to try out the bag on the course but I was leaning towards returning it and I didn’t want to get it dirty so my experience is just my observations not actual use. I’m not sure if it would fit in my smaller 4 door trunk either. The name “ask echo”? What is that? Couldn’t they come up with, idk, how about “anything else”! Pros: Good looking bag. Keeps clubs from banging into each other except the metal woods in the shared middle hole. Lots of pockets and storage and cooler. Comparable quality to other $200 bags. Cons: It’s really tall. Long clubs in center section can contact each other so head covers are probably necessary but that covers up some of the adjacent clubs. The rain fly was a very tight fit meaning I’d probably never use it on the course like I do with my old one. Dumb name. I ended up returning it. Just too radical a departure from what I’m used to with some designs I thought might annoy me over time. Idk, seems like a lot of reviewers loved it! I have used this bag on probably my last 10 golf outings and I am so far very pleased with it. I love that you have a designated spot for each club and they lock in place so there is no rattle and the clubs aren’t damaged by banging into each other. It has way more pockets and storage than I could ever possibly use however it is nice to have the space. The bag also has a small compartment to put cold items which is use frequently and with throwing a couple small frozen water bottles will keep my canned drinks cold the whole time I'm golfing.
