First season playing Pickelball, this is my 3rd paddle and Holy Cow, its an enormous step up in ability. The selling feature for me was the edgeless design, however the texture of the carbon fiber face and the Aero hole for air to go through makes for a very light weight and whip-able paddle. Really only wanted some kind of "edge-less' paddle, as I kept hitting the lip on the basic paddle I started out on. This looked like a decent deal, so I snapped it up. Was a bit concerned about the hole in it and how that might cause problems if that's where I hit the ball, but that hasn't happened at all. It took me a few days to transition from my basic paddle to this one, but now I feel much better with it. I definitely like the friction surface it has, as it allow me to impart even more spin than I could with the basic paddle. My serve has improved and now I can even hear the "whoosh" of air going through the hole as I swing on the serve! ... show more

This is a pretty good paddle. I like the textured surface of the paddle quite a bit as well as the edgeless face. I have no clue what the hole is for, but this is a lightweight paddle with a decent sized sweet spot. I tend to like the shorter but slightly wider paddles so this one is a bit different from what I normally play with. I have a bit of issues with ball control with the longer paddles so I think that's more of a personal thing. Lastly, if you are good at getting spin, you'll like this paddle quite a bit. I suck at getting any amount of spin, so I don't get much benefit from the texture. ... show more

Ordered several of these paddles to try and have been blown away by the performance. May feel a tad bit heavier than my Selkirk, but power, control and spin are incredible. Feel like a new player after adding this paddle to my bag. Can’t beat this paddle for the money.

I have played this Warping Point 20mm paddle for about 6 weeks extensively at indoor courts and disliked it initially. The specs say 8 oz with power/control/spin at 8/8/8. I thought that's perfect balance but when I actually play it, it feels a bit hollow and light. I can't seem to smash ball harder with it like I do with my other 8.6 oz paddle. The width 7.4", large sweet spot and gritty surface do allow great control and spin, though. I have played a friend's same brand 16mm (also at 8 oz) for a few games and that seems to give a quicker and more solid smash based on the sound of the ball impact. After a few weeks I started to like it very much because I found that I can do better ball placements and more precise drop shots. And it gives some advantages to the volley war behind the kitchen because the 20mm thickness seem to absorb speedy balls well and does not bounce off to random directions. I am happy with the purchase and results so far. Perhaps you don't need to go buy those $200+ paddles :) ... show more
