This is my first 20mm paddle, the thickest of the paddles I own. The thickness doesn't hinder hand speed. The thickness does seem to absorb a lot of the shock from ball impact. The surface is very gritty. Although this isn't the highest spin paddle I own, there's a decent amount of spin that allows me to apply a good amount of top spin and slice. I'd say that overall the paddle is good, middle specs. That is, not extreme spin, power, or control but pretty good at all three. Comes with nice accessories, including a unique paddle cover. this paddle allows for lots of spin, the surface is nice and rough - it feels almost like sandpaper. the design is also super cool with that slot built in
