I wanted to get this for sleeping in the back of my 1st gen Honda Ridgeline. So far so good. The inflatable pillars help to stablize the mattress that hangs over the seat. I didn't inflate the 2nd portion of the mattress, as it was not necessary. I thought about inflating it to use as additional support to keep the mattress inplace, however that would mean removing everything on the floor in front of the rear seats and I did not want to do that, so I stuck with the inflatable pillars. You'll need to play with the level of firmness to get it right, but it wasn't so bad for one night. If your pets have nails, you may not want them on this mattress. ... show more

The idea of having an air mattress for our suv has been on my mind for some time now. We have one of these already and figured we would try out another one since we like the other one so much. This one differs in that it can be used without folding down the rear seats. This is great for when we have gear in the back when we go camping and the little ones decide they are tired and want to take a break while we set up or when we go to the beach. Although the included pump works well and airs up the mattress in no time, unlike a different one that I ordered without a pump. This would work well if you are going on a long trip and just need to pull over at a rest area to catch a few ZZZs too. This is the total package and includes 2 pillows, 12 volt pump, patch kit, carry case, and 2 additional piers that can be place in the floorboard to aid in the support of the mattress. Great price for everything that you receive. We will be keeping this in the storage compartment of our suv. As a side note this could also be used camping or just when you need more bedding for additional guests. ... show more

Add this to the list of things I didn't think I needed until I knew it existed. The mattress fits great in the back of most vehicles that are crossover-sized or bigger. It inflates pretty quickly and the material is thick enough that it seems like it will last a long time. You can configure it as pictured to have a sidewall that basically encapsulates whoever is using it, you can lay it completely flat if you have a large enough area, or you can just inflate the main portion if you want. I like that you can use it in the car but also use it in your tent, so you can pack one less thing if you're going on a camping trip. This fits perfectly in the back of our Ram 1500 extended cab. But we have dogs that travel with us and it was not very durable against their nails. Easy to inflate, patched with some flex tape. Would recommend if you do not have animals.

This is an inflatable bed with inflatable pillows, a carrying case, patches, and a pump. The pump can be powered via a cigarette lighter to make filling easy. This is nice in that it folds: it works well just on the bank seat or in the entire back with the seats folded down. The material on this is similar to a camping air bed. Being an air mattress, this is only so ridgid. If in the back seat, you may want to put a firm platform under it. This comes with piers/pillows to put in the foot area, but that only works so well. The platform would also prevent seatbelts from digging in. Once inflated, this holds air well without leaks. It isn't pretty, but it is functional. ... show more

I'm using this inflatable back seat traveling mattress for my personal use in a 2015 Ford Edge. I would say that the mattress material is a good thick quality. The mattress was easy to inflate only takingva few minutes. The air held tight in the mattress all night without leakage. I would say that the mattress has a firm feel.
