  • Quality but lacks longevity(in my opinion)
I bought this for some small DIY projects with my car. It worked really well for the first few months but eventually the cup cracked and metal parts began to...not rust...but corrode I guess. I didn't give it a lower rating because maybe it was my fault so I don't want to say it didn't last because of something I did. I cleaned it thoroughly after every single use. I stored it well. So I'm not sure but while it worked, it worked perfectly. ... show more

  • Disappointed
When it first arrived the finish was of excellent quality as were the components. I decided to clean before I used it but could not remove the spray jet. Bent the wrench that was included so I returned it and got a Professional grade from Harbor Freight. Similar price and quality. It gets the five star rating. ... show more

  • Good starting gun, better than going with HF alternative
I knock it 1 star just because it's not a "great" gun and anyone who's used a gun that costs even $100 let alone $500 knows this. That said, for the price it's very functional and workable. It's basically the gun that the $10 Harbor Freight junk gun is modeled after, but NOTABLY better. Well worth the extra $20. If you're trying to do auto paint, this is the bare minimum gun you should even be looking at. If you're doing other kinds of finishing, this may even do most of the jobs very well. You will get what you pay for in HVLP, so it's not going to compare to $100-500 guns, but it is completely usable for many jobs, especially those where sanding afterwards is tolerable or necessary. ... show more

  • Outstanding for a low price point
I bought this gun in Feb 2020 to use for general spray jobs that didn't require the Fuji HVLP - which is a bit more to clean up. I used this gun to prime raw wood with Cover Stain oil-based primer, followed by Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane trim enamel. I have done all of the cabinetry for our master bath and the gun performs perfectly. During the summer I stripped some sheet metal parts (hood, fenders, doors) for my old truck, then sprayed the bare metal parts with epoxy primer. Again, the gun did all I needed to get good coverage with no problems. I recommend this gun for general purpose use. I use strainers when filling the paint cup, so I stopped using the internal strainer because it makes cleanup more difficult. I also bought a 1 Qt aluminum paint cup because I'm not a fan of plastic. Very good setup, at least for me! ... show more

  • Best spray gun in my shop
Being a beginner woodworker, when i decided to jump into the world of spraying my finish it was an eye opening endeavor. So many options, some cheap, some expensive but not really any glaringly obvious differences between them.. First thing i did was walk into Home Depot and buy the kit that came with 2 guns.. They worked but not in a way that was satisfying or consistent. Next place i went was Harbor Freight. Bought their 2 gun kit. This was better than HD's kit, but they didnt last long and needed to be cleaned very well after each use... So now I have 4 guns and am still looking online to buy one that will actually work the way that i think it should.. So i gave this one a try and by far it's the best one yet! Quality is legit, spray is sharp, strong and consistent. Cleanup is easy and just overall a pleasure to use. Very happy with it and would recommend this to any woodworker out there that wants to start spraying their finish on their projects. I use this to spray oil based sanding sealer and oil based lacquer. Works like a charm. ... show more

  • If this ever wears out I will buy again!
Painted a school bus for a conversion to RV. One third of the way thru I could not get the paint out of the nozzle. Problem was fixed by removing the little filter inside the gun. Ran fine without the filter and finished the bus. Used Rustoleum oil based with a small amount of thinner and bus looks good. Only drawback to this type of sprayer is that you cannot tip it too far or paint will leak from the top and you have to hang or support it on the table to fill. ... show more

  • It just works
I normally don’t ever leave reviews. I needed to update from my old siphon gun for shooting equipment and I looked for hours. Finally settled on this little beauty and couldn’t be happier. Unboxed and went to painting in about 10 minutes. Great value for the money

  • better than I expected
I've borrowed used expensive CAP sprayer models of HVLP guns that come with their own air supply, but since I have a compressor already, I opted tp purchase a gun like this for myself. While I've only used it on one project so far, its been great. I sprayed a water based polyurethane finish on the pieces I had cut, sanded, and stained for some drawers I made. The finish came out nice and smooth, and was very easy to apply. The feed hopper is easy to fill and at least with water based finishes, everything was simple and easy to clean out. This was well worth what I paid for it. The finish sprays evenly and I had no troubles adjusting it to put out the right volume. ... show more
