  • Works as advertised
Size: 7 inch
It works well and connected to my cars bluetooth along with my cellphone. No need to use the aux cable. Sound is great and no delay. Only reason for 4 stars is that it regularly refuses to reconnect to my cellphone. I have to tell it to forget the device and re-pair. Other than that minor annoyance i love it. ... show more

  • Bang for your buck!
Size: 7 inch
Best Wireless Android Auto / Apple CarPlay device you can get at this price point. I don't typically write reviews but i'm amazed of how well of a product you can get for less than $50. Now let me say this, If you are using this with the sole intention of just wanting to have android auto & apple carplay; then, this would be great for you! If you're an audiophile or tech junkie then I suggest you look elsewhere. The screen is responsive for what it is, but don't expect it to be on par with your smartphone. I usually change my music/navigation on my phone anyways so it doesn't quite bother me. But you really have to set your attention to the device itself while stopped in order to get the best experience in terms of responsiveness. The audio quality is decent, if you're connecting the device to the vehicle via aux that is. I recommend pairing bluetooth with your car to get the best audio quality if yours allow it. The provided mounting brackets were meh. If it works for you and you don't mind it then go ahead, but previously, I had my phone magnetically mounted to the car so I just used the base, added a magnet to the back of the device and I was able to achieve a neat look with that set up. The provided aux & usb c cable were too long for my needs so I purchased an accomadating usb c cable & aux to compliment my set up. Although, its merely a suggestion on my end. Please note, the included usb c charger & aux cable were both approx 9 feet in length. The display looks great, being 1080p, and it gets pretty sunny on where I'm from so the screen being still easily visible at max brightness is a neat thing to have at this price point. It does have an auto dimming feature, in which you can use. An important thing to note is that there's an apple like capacitve home button that allows you to control the device outside of Carplay/Auto and there's no way you can get rid of that. I personally don't mind, but if you're a perfectionist then this wouldn't be for you. Another thing, to get the full beauty of the display, you must remove the included screen protector. The screen protector alters its quality a slight bit. The screen cast feature is great, they have their own app that allows you to cast your phone onto the device and it makes eating in the car 10x more enjoyable. The device is pretty much built with plastic throughout aside from the glass screen. It fell from my previous mount once, and it held up well so it seems pretty durable. Overall, I highly recommend this device to owners of older cars that don't have Carplay/Auto. I drive an 09' Corolla and it makes it feel like my in-laws 23' Highlander just because of the addition of this device, lol. ... show more

  • Does NOT have a battery; FM transmitter is terrible. Otherwise fine.
Size: 7 inch
I bought this unit when it was on sale for under $50. At that price, for my needs, it's worth keeping. SUMMARY: The only reason anyone is going to buy this is to use in an older car that doesn't have Android / Apple car modes built in. Whether this unit is a good fit for you depends on exactly what car you want to put it in. Got multiple 12v outlets and/or a built-in USB charger? An Aux Input? You'll be fine. If not, you may want to look elsewhere. CONS: - The photos are misleading; the unit has no battery and can NOT be used unless it is plugged in. - The FM transmitter is useless. PROS: - The screen is reasonably responsive and bright enough to use during daylight. - The included suction-cup mount works really well and seems well-built. As long as I'm not constantly taking the thing on and off, I expect it to last for a while. - No problems connecting via bluetooth. - The Aux Out mode works fine. I have an older car that has a built-in CD changer and a cassette deck, but no Aux Input. Previously I used a little FM transmitter that plugged into my 12v and connected to my phone via bluetooth. It works fine, but I wanted to get the added functionality of Android Auto. I bought this unit because it has an FM transmitter also. Unfortunately the FM transmitter is too weak. There is so much noise on whatever channel you select that you can barely hear whatever you're trying to listen to. In order to make use of the unit, I also had to purchase an old-school cassette tape adapter which I connected to the Aux OUT port on this unit. So if your car already has an Aux Input, you'll be fine, and the unit comes with a 3.5mm cable. The built-in speaker is loud enough to hear in the front seat, but unless your car is pretty quiet, I wouldn't expect the back-seat passengers to be able to hear well. Also it's just one speaker and it's pretty tinny, so it's fine for podcasts but not music. The unit requires a 12v connection and the charger that comes with the unit does not have an extra charging port, so if you usually charge your phone with the 12v outlet in your car, you'll need to do something else. I already had a 12v charger with multiple USB ports, and I've used that successfully to power the unit and charge my phone simultaneously, but two usb cables plus and audio cable gets a bit irritating. ... show more

  • Decent unit...has a weird screen issue
Size: 7 inch
Every so often when the device is running, the color on the screen will change/dim/wash out requiring a reboot of the system to get the color to come back properly. Is there a way to obtain and update firmware on the device?

  • Good, But Don’t Expect Too Much At This Price Point
Size: 7 inch
In all honesty, for the $38 I paid for it, it’s fine. It’s definitely not a high end unit. Sometimes it’ll disconnect from my phone for no apparent reason and then provide a challenge to get it to reconnect. I use Waze navigation and sometimes it’ll just freeze and I have to close the app on my phone to get it to start working again. The mount that it comes with is extremely cheap, I recommend finding a better mount for it. Also, don’t use polarized shades/glasses with this unit because it’ll definitely make it hard to see the screen. Overall, for what it is and what it does, it was worth the money for me. I couldn’t fathom spending the $350+ for me to install a full unit and bezel into my focus versus just using this unit instead. I’d recommend a better brand, but you’ll definitely pay more for it. ... show more

  • Bang for your buck!
Size: 7 Inch + 32G
I was hesitant at first but I was presently surprised. This is definitely worth purchasing. $50?!!!! I did not want to spend over $100 or pay to have a new radio installed. I use aux to connect to the music (cannot change song etc from my car) but honestly it’s not a big deal. I also used Velcro to attach my screen because I did not like how the stand obstructed my view from the windshield. ... show more
