I bought this for my wife. She loves the set. Stacks perfectly in our cupboard. The vessels heat evenly and quickly. The nonstick surfaces allow us to use less oil and they clean in a snap. The reason for the 4 stars is that the 6 quart stock pot is not perfectly round - has a flat spot. I contacted Calphalon to initiate a warranty replacement. They opened a case and asked for pictures. It remains to be seen if they replace the vessel, pay for return shipping costs, and how quickly they ship a replacement. I will update this review and increase the points depending on how they respond. Update: I called Calphalon Customer Service. The person I spoke with was very courteous and professional. She apologized for the problem I was having with the 6 quart stock pot. After reviewing the pictures I emailed to them she initiated a replacement stating that she will personally monitor the case to make sure that the replacement is promptly sent to me. She did not require that I ship the defective pot back to Calphalon. I am therefore increasing my point score from 4 to 5 since Calphalon stands behind its product, has outstanding customer service, increasing my confidence in the lifetime warranty that this set comes with. ... show more

I am beyond impressed with these pans! I had a calphalon set that was over 20 years old. I had been happy with that set so decided to order this one as a replacement. These are hands down the best pans I’ve ever used. Nothing sticks, they barely need a wipe to clean, the long handles do not gist hot at all — the shorter side does at times but it hasn’t been a problem fir me. The stacking and lid design is pure genius! I went from 2 cabinets down to one shelf of one cabinet for my pan storage. They are very heavy, so that could be an issue for some people, but I think their weight is part of what makes them so good. I order from amazon all the time but this is one of my only reviews.     • Intelligent purchase. Great for small & tight places where your cupboard area is limited.
The design is exceptional. I have limited cupboard space in my apartment. Purchasing an item like this set from Amazon.com was a necessity. Lifting the lids from their inter-locking grooves drains condensation and water into the pan or pot without creating spill-over onto my range or stove. Furthermore, the pieces fit together perfectly. The lids for the pans and pots is one of the better aspects of their design. The inter-locking grooves also make it a better investment because one need not worry about them falling apart if grabbing the set to get to the needed item. Although, at the time, I paid a little more than the current price of $450, I have no regret(s) because the amount of space that is utilized from having this set outweighs the expense in an apartment with very limited cupboard space. For singles, new couples, and college students this set is worth it and I implore you to find a better deal on pots and pans that do not become cumbersome to use or take up a lot of unnecessary space in small places. The heavy-duty construction and design guarantee that you will have this set of pots and pans for life because they are guaranteed for life. ... show more

I’d give this 4.5 stars if I could. This is great cookware and does save on space. It heats evenly and is so easy to clean. The reason for the slight reduction are the rivets attaching the handles You can just wipe the pan clean but in a lot of cases food gets stuck on the rivets and you have really clean them. I should preface this with the fact that I've never had any new or high quality pots/pans before. I've always just had a mismatch set made up of collected pieces from various family/friends. When someone died or got something new, I'd take their old stuff that was an upgrade. This set only takes up one shelf of one smallish cabinet. The first thing I cooked was a full thanksgiving dinner on a gas range/oven. I really thought even heat distribution was a marketing gimmick that didn't actually exist in any cooking items. Apparently it's real! It's nice that these are all oven safe up to 450, that made it much easier to have everything hot and ready at the same time. My only complaint is that even though the anodized aluminum set says it's metal utensil safe, it scratches easily. It's still safe to cook on and everything, it just looks bad. The ease of cleaning (REALLY easy) is the only reason I'm keeping them instead of exchanging them for the stainless steel set. ... show more
