  • Good for beginners, but bad grip tape application. ABEC 5 bearings
Is this a decent board for beginners? Yes, deck is sturdy truck bushings are a little soft for my taste but it is spaced to stop wheel bite. What that means there are spacers under the metal trucks (wheel brackets) to give distance between the board and wheels when you ride. This prevents the wheels from hitting the deck when you lean and/or turn. Value? Wheel good value 7ply deck and arrives assembled. The board I received had poor grip tape application as seen in pictures attached. Does this change how you ride? If your trying to position and you can’t rotate your feet because you are hitting this ridge left in the grip tape. Sturdiness? States 7ply maple, I didn’t count the ply because it may well be 7 but could also be the thinnest maple ply money can buy and be junk. Overall- I bought this for my son as his first new board, he is 11, and was extremely excited to receive this to the point his first ride was in the dark on our driveway when I got home from work. I gave it a once over checked the king pin trucks and wheels to ensure everything was together properly. One thing I know is not in the description for this board is the bearing rating. This came with ABEC 5 bearings. Brand unknown, definitely steel not ceramic. Didn’t expect them to be either. Base line- definitely worth the price trucks seem to be good quality but may change bushing and get carbon kingpin paired with some Bones bearings. This would tighten it up a little for a heavier person my son is a decent size and the board is good for him he already weighs 110. Rating on this set up says it go to 210 or so but anything over 150 would seem to be excessive with this exact setup. For a beginner anyway. Some have complained about the graphics peeling, I would not really call this a show piece board, and it is definitely not a cruiser. This is meant to hit skate parks and grind, Ollie and basically learn to be a better skater. With that in mind most skaters know if your at a park, and see the same kid or skater with perfect graphics they are new to skating. A board like this is meant to be broken in and have the slide marks grind grooves across the graphics and trucks. For the money it is definitely worth it for a new comer to skating. Better than big box boards. About the ply- there are decks that state 7,9,even 12 ply this really doesn’t mean much unless there is quality behind the ply and board. I say this because when I was my sons age I made my own board when my big box board broke as a kid. We couldn’t get another one but we had an old piece of Georgia pine ply wood. I got my dads hand saw and cut the ply wood In the shape of a popsicle board and soaked it in water for a few days to bend the tail and dried it out in the sun. It was thick and bulky but it was mine. That set up lasted over five years until I could afford a new maple blank. By the time I could get a regular a deck it seemed so light and flimsy I thought I was going to break it every time I got on. It wasn’t a bad deck I just became accustomed to a heavy board made out out of 1/4 plywood. In comparison about 5 ply Georgia pine ply wood we had that was bought at a hardware store. ... show more

  • Why?
Pretty disappointed. We bought this skateboard as a Christmas gift for our 4 year old son, it was actually his “Santa” gift and basically all he was asking for. We unpacked it today to find foot prints all over the grip tape. I’m sure the skateboard is fine and will work well but come on!!!! It’s clear this was being used. ... show more

  • Not good quality
Color: 8" Rainbow
This is a not good board because the kingpin on the tucks stick out of the trucks so I cannot do any 50-50 s and they gave me the wrong graphic, also the wheels have a flat spot. Disappointed.

  • Very good deal for $36
Wow....very good deal with the price I paid for,$36 to door , 7.5" size deck which is what I need for 7 years old son. the quality is a lot better than I expect . The deck had a nice finish on it , blank trucks and wheels have a smooth ride. Tricks?? Have my high school Neighbors to try it before letting my 7 years old son rides it. Easy complete Ollie ,heel flip and nollie... Okay,it pass the test . ... show more

  • So far so good
We bought this skateboard for my 6 year old son who loves daddy's longboard and begs for a skateboard every time he sees one. He was super excited to get this on Christmas morning and tried it out right away out front. Unfortunately we have asphalt and he can't coast because it has traditional skateboard wheels. The longboard has fatter wheels and works great on asphalt but this skateboard needs a smoother surface. My husband can ride it well on the road but I think it's just a little too hard for a six year old, so we are planning on really breaking it in at the skate park. I will update once we do. Other than not being able to coast on asphalt, my son loves everything about this board. The graphic is nice, the wheels and trucks appear to be good and it has made one little six year old super happy. ... show more

  • Why wouldn’t you buy this?
This looks and feels just like an expensive name brand board from a company that’s huge in the skating industry. The fallbacks are small. The wheels were soft and the grip tape wasn’t perfect. The wheels spun but one needed adjustment (but still better than others I’ve tried). The graphic seems backward. This board has a longer side that one can only assume is the tail. But the graphic doesn’t seem to match. Not a big deal for a beginner. The board isn’t a true popsicle stick as mentioned last it has a longer kick tail and shorter nose. The Chinese maple seems softer than the American maple so it dents easier. The pluses are good though. It came complete and can be skated right out of the box. It had risers so for the beginner skater I’m gifting it too I put 58mm wheels that are much harder and will be easier to turn with. The trucks have a nicer polish than other cheap brands and that makes for a really nice looking board ... show more

  • Good Board to Learn to Ride
The product is good for a starter skateboard. Purchased this for my younger brother so he can learn to properly ride before I get him a more expensive board. The board is very... Wobbly. It feels odd, even for a kid like him it was too wobbly. The grip was a little messed up as well, it seemed it wasn't properly put on as it had a part that was lifted. You get what you pay for, and I think this is a good board to start on and learn to ride. ... show more
