Over the years, hundreds of incandescent C7s and C9s drove up our California electricity bill which is umpteen times higher than other states. Our Christmas tree was baking under the heat of 125 C7s. Even so, I was very reluctant to switch to LEDs because the ones I saw had blues that looked purple and the lights were all dim. My husband researched and found these lights and we are now on Wintergreen LEDs—sorry, PG&E! I am fooled by how realistic they are to incandescent bulbs! The lights are bright and true to their colors! BLUE IS BLUE! Red is a crisp red, not orangey. Orange is vibrant. Green has a nice bright glow, unlike other dull Christmas lights. Wintergreen’s Amazon store has a lot of replacement bulbs packs that feature colors like gold which were difficult to find as an incandescent bulb, plus twinkle lights in every color!!! Wintergreen also has pink and purple for those that decorate their homes for Valentine’s Day (if that’s your thing). Quality is top-notch! Our neighbor left our basement door open because she wanted a place for a feral cat to sleep. Pfft. All of the outdoor Christmas stuff showed evidence of dewy mornings. The C9s looked great—void of any rust or electrical issues! My kids could be better at handling the lights. They yank, drag and drop them on the floor and driveway. My 7YO girl stepped on a bulb. It did not break and the socket was undamaged. I can only imagine how much more she would have cried if anything broke. This is our second year with the lights and they are doing very well. The lights are up the day after Thanksgiving to the weekend after New Year’s. The C9s run for eight hours a night. The C7s are on from dawn until after midnight (my husband and I have different sleep schedules). We have only had to replace a single C9 out of hundreds of bulbs. To create light strands with a mix of opaque, solid and twinkle lights, we bought a variety of light strands (multi solid, multi opaque, multi twinkle), a couple light strands sans bulbs and a few replacement bulb boxes. Now that we have reliable C9 LEDs that can be seen from a distance we are going to put a Christmas tree of lights on the back of the house—three stories tall! ... show more

These lights are great!!! We got 200 feet put on our house, they look great. I really like the tough bulbs, dropped some and had no breakage at all. All of the LED bulbs are working correctly. Wish I had purchased this set years ago!!!

Purchased these lights a few weeks ago on Amazon and put them up this past weekend while the weather was unseasonably mild in Iowa. I’ve purchased many types of Christmas lights over the years and these are by far the best! Quality wires and bulbs that truly light of the night! Just received. Bulbs are heavy duty made, all worked and SUPER BRIGHT! EVERYTHING seems WELL-MADE. Does not come with extra bulbs, so I purchased 1 extra box for years down the road, if I need: however these really are heavy duty bulbs, seems like I will have a hard time breaking. I will update my review after I get them up. (I have been putting up Christmas lights for over 40 years and have purchased a lot of cheap and a lot of good. these are GREAT QUALITY.) ... show more

Very heavy duty and bright. Only downfall is they don't match my other "cool white" LED lights that I used for the 2 trees in my yard. They are more of that white/icey blue color that I liked. These C9 LEDs are just a pure white. Still look great though. Maybe I just mistakenly assumed cool white was the same color for all LEDs. ... show more
