For my taste , I toast raisin bread on “4”, English muffins on “5” using the muffin button and Arnold white bread on “6.” I very much enjoy having the automatic of toasting. After viewing countless toasters, I decided on this toaster. First I wanted the selection buttons on the left side (as you look at them) due to my kitchen space. The cord comes out on the back right side and is 41 inches long, 43 inches if you count the plug. The color is a very beautiful deep orange color which I really like more than I thought I would. The slots are an ample 6 inches long and 1.57inches wide. It's fun to watch the LCD display and you know the toast is almost done when the lines you are watching are almost gone. After learning a very expensive lesson, I have learned to always purchase insurance, which I did. So far it toasts perfectly. ... show more

Firstly, I liked the color, which is orange. The toaster is a nice replacement to the one I had. It beeps when the toast comes up. Secondly, it toasts to near perfection. Thirdly, it's easy to use and understand the components. Fourthly, it has several buttons for bagels, defrost, reheat, and muffins. This is built like a tank. It does one thing, toasts, and does it well. Lowers and raises the bread gracefully, no throwing finished toast into the air. It doesn't have an off/on switch, so you have to unplug it when not in use. Also, it doesn't remember your setting, always starts with the default 5 out of 1-10. So you have to set it to your favorite light/dark setting every time you turn it on. Oh, the pain. Seriously, if you don't mind the price, it's very high quality.
