    • A fun novelty but very finicky

So I bought this as an alternative to a candy dish thinking it'd be a fun way to get treats with a little added challenge. Problem is, it's not very user friendly. There's no easy way to open the machine to insert treats (only a small hole at the top to drop them down from) and it can't fit a lot in there without jamming up the claw. The other thing is, the claw itself is TERRIBLE. It can barely pick up anything, let alone anything with a little weight. I did a number of tests on some Hershey's Kisses and had to keep removing them until there were only like 4 or 5 in there before it was able to pick one up. The controls are wonky too and the claw screeches every time it moves. The music is loud and there's no real way to turn it down. Also the coins keep getting stuck so I have to jostle the entire machine to get it to work. There only thing keeping me from rating this any lower is that, when all the right conditions are met, it's kind of fun to use and actually see a prize drop down. We had to try this out before we gifted it. What fun. My great granddaughter loves those claw machines so we got her this one. It takes 3 D batteries that are not included. Comes with 3 unicorns so you will need to buy wrapped candies and l bought wrapped squishy animals. Has coins included so she can play as long as she wants! Nice and sturdy also. ... show more

I just want to premise this review with the fact that I did the research and read the important product information like the dimensions, product capabilities, also read many reviews of the same exact product, even if the product (maker/seller) information was different, but the item picture was identicle. I am very aware that the item is much smaller than expected, thanks to reviews. But, I was not expecting that the product would not work, even after a couple attempts to make it work. Many reviews had relevant information (trying to tell me not to buy this particular product) but I gambled and made the purchase anyway. After my attempts to fix the unit, I feel like I was totally JACKED because it NEVER actually worked, EVER. I realize not everything you purchase via the web will be as explained, in perfect condition, the actual item you think your purchasing... (fill in the blanks yourself), BUY, most items should work to some extent. THIS IS A COMPLETE PIECE OF CRAPOLA! I regret not heeding the warning from others, I was still willing to give it a go. My mistake, you should learn from it! However, Ill am certain I will recover from my experience with this P.O.S. Sad that this product is still JACKING PEOPLE EVERYWHERE ON THIS PLANET!
