I don’t write reviews unless really compelled to. First off the measuring chart provided for suit size is worthless!!! I am 190 5’9” and gambled on a large. Fits perfect.... exact arm length legs are baggy enough to squat down without rising up (zipper sides a bonus) I like the hood for visibility but likely will wear a baseball cap as it leans forward and down pressing my bald head against the back just waiting for a sting. Only used it once but so far so good. The zippers were ever so rough to move but I’m sure breaking them in with use and maybe adding wax will make them smoother. Also like the mesh material and picked up gloves with the same breathable fabric. ... show more

Absolutely love this bee suit! It does exactly what it says in the description and because it protects you so well from the bees it allows you to stay calm, cool and collected while you get in and out of your hives. It feels heavy when you first handle it but it's so clever as it has triple mesh layers which help to keep you much cooler than the cotton fiber bee suits. At first the only thing I thought was kinda weird or too big was the fitting at the crotch, as it hangs lower than normal pants but this is also clever because it allows you to move freely bending and squatting plus the extra leg length covers over the top of your boots sealing any nooks and cranies the bees like the bury through to get to you! Stops the sting. Wish it was a bit more sturdy in stitching in the crotch. Lots of bending and kneeling out in the bee yard and blew the stitching. But for the price it isn’t terrible. I am thinking will probably make it only one or 2 seasons, though. I would like to give it 4.5 if I could. It’s very good for a very inexpensive suit. Quality isn’t amazing but for the price it’s very much reasonable. ... show more

    • Stops the bees, but it is coming apart at every seem join.

I've now worn it 3 times to tend my two brooder hives. It's a perfect fit, but there are a bit of armature gymnastics to get into it, and get the headgear/veil zippered properly. I'm actually glad it is happening now because I'm in a return window. The bees won't land on the suit now, and aside from being a new idiot to bees, I was only stung once, and that was at the ankle wearing tennis shoes. The elastic strap came off on the right leg, but that was not the problem, rather is was the fact there was a gap between the suit and the shoes (not a fault of the suit). I'll send this for a replacement suit, and will sew up (reinforce) the stress areas, in the groin, armpits, wrists, etc., prior to using it the first time. I know this will void any possible return, but the suit is that good where it holds together. ... show more
