    • More high maintenance than I expected, but a very nice bonsai!
I’ve never owned a bonsai and chose this one because I thought it was very pretty. It flowered a few weeks after it arrived and the scent was great. Once the flowers dropped off, the leaves started yellowing/browning and most fell off. After further research I learned that gardenia bonsai are one of the more difficult to care for—I placed it outside and now it is thriving...apparently I should also winter it outdoors. Seems to be a good product. I don’t know much about these plants. Specifically bonsai and/or gardenias. I’m sure, as with everything else I choose, it is NOT meant to be grown in East Tennessee/non-tropical weather. It’s my “cross.” I love citrus trees and anything tropical..especially miniature.
